You'll hear the puppy borks before going it. I thought it was cute. It is nice and clean there, and I had no issues getting checked in. I am not from Atlanta, but I really liked Emily's style and was going to be in ATL for a concert. I sent her what I wanted, a simple palm sized symbol I wanted on my hip, and she showed me a couple of designs. I picked one and we were quick to get started. She had no problems repositioning my stencil after I changed my mind. It was exactly how you want your appointment to go. In addition to being super communicative and easy to work with, she had the lightest hands I've ever experienced. Easy line pulls and as little pain I've ever felt. It was almost magical. It's been almost a month and my tat is healed up lovely.

They were extremely diligent in their adherence to sterilization protocols and examination of my initial piercings. Because of Randy's careful examination of my ears, only one ear needed a full re-pierce and the other ear just needed a slight stretch in the piercing. It was much less painful this time around than it was 20 years ago (w/a piercing gun at Claire's!). I had such a great experience here I would definitely return and get additional piercings! My ears healed well (different experience than the first time) and I'm excited to wear earring again!

So months ago I began looking and found a couple of good shops. I reached out to each and Liberty was highly responsive to my inquiries. So about two weeks before they let me know Zak would be the artist and to reach out to him directly. We chatted via Instagram messenger and we decided on a date and time. Flash forward to Monday the 14th of March, I ubered up and headed to Liberty. From moment one Zak and I chatted and he was honest about the initial pictures I had sent him and the fact that they'd be hard to replicate. So we started looking for images and when I found the first attached picture. He was like that will work perfectly and will be one that lasts and won't loose it's integrity. So then he prepped the design in two sizes and we both agreed the larger one would be better. He also was able to place it an an area that makes it stand out and will when all said and done will be a centerpiece to the eventual sleeve. Zak is an amazing artist and his finesse with the actual needle work was amazing. I felt only a few of the needle strokes, it was the lightest touch and the outcome is amazing. He took his time, the hair on the body of the butterfly is delicate and precise. The color saturation is beautiful, the pixelization of the black mimics the photo and makes the butterfly pop. Zak did some lettering on my other arm and it came out beautifully. I have received tons of compliments in the last few days and I'm so happy with the work, that I'd fly back to Atlanta to work with Zak again. Id like to also compliment the shop. It was very welcoming from the music to artwork on the walls. The shop was full of light and the artists were genuinely having a good time together, signing, talking and engaging with their clients. We wanted to get fine line Star Wars themed tattoos -- we provided the image and they advised to make the image a little bigger so the lines won't look shriveled over time. We agreed with their recommendation and got to the table with not much of wait. Everyone was very inviting, the place itself looked really cool and eclectic. I immediately thought of coming back for a flash deal if we were ever in town again! Very clean, very sterile, and very friendly -- so why one less star?? Unfortunately both our fine line tattoos have faded by the end of the week. The pressure didn't feel deep enough for either of us and the line work is VERY light. We already want them touched up but since we're not from the area, we'd have to find another artist. BUT that shouldn't take away fully from the good experience! Maybe if we weren't leaving to the airport after this, we would've been able to speak up and say to go a smidge thicker. I stopped by early in my trip to check availability and not surprisingly there wasn't much. The books were booked but they told me that an artist did walks-ins on Saturdays at 3pm and to come in around then. Being super anxious I got there about 2:45pm that day and found out someone else was even more anxious because the appointment was gone. Bummed, because I really had my hopes up I then talked to another artist, Hank who asked me what I was trying to get done. Ironically, he did a lot of sketch designs and I was looking for just that kind of tattoo. He knew the tattoo wouldn't take too long and agreed to take me the next day which happened to be Easter Sunday. Hank was amazing. While I can't say it was completely painless because I don't think any tattoo ever is or will be, overall the complete process was. He drew my design essentially overnight. When I came in the next day he showed it to me, and the thing I love about tattooing and art in general is what I had in my head of what it was going to be like wasn't exactly what he drew, but I loved his vision so I changed nothing but the overall size of the tattoo and we went to work. He gave me great instructions afterwards and it never turned red at all. It looked perfect the entire time. The healing process was amazing. I live in Florida but will absolutely make any trip to see Hank for future tattoos because it's absolutely worth it.
