I have never written a negative review in my life, whether it was a product, business, or person. Unfortunately, Amy Armstrong was bad enough to make me want to spend my time writing this review. Amy is crooked, greedy, and unethical in every sense of these words. Her sellers may like her, but little do they know that she keeps them in the dark about all the potential buyers that want to see the homes she lists. Amy and her partner, Nancy Dean, do not like to sell homes to buyers that are not using them as their agents. They want the commission of the sale to only go between their money-hungry selves. Amy will NOT let anyone show the homes she has listed without a prequal letter for the listing price or more of the home. She has no right to demand this, yet she has been doing it for a long time. My agent gave her my prequal letter for the EXACT listing price, but Amy still denied us a viewing, then said I needed a prequal letter for $8,500 MORE than the listing price! I had not even set foot on the property, nor made an offer, yet she demanded this for a viewing. I was so disgusted with her behavior, her nasty attitude, and her complete lack of integrity, that I walked away from my dream home. I was 100% ready to purchase the home after viewing it, but she would not even give me the opportunity, as she wasn't going to make as much money by my agent getting some of her precious commission. I was warned about Amy Armstrong by numerous people after I told them she was the listing agent, but she blew all my preconceived notions about how truly awful she was out of the water. I truly don't know how someone as ruthless and shady as her can look herself in the mirror every day. I will be taking legal action against her, as I know many others are doing right now to her and her crooked partner. I have worked with Amy and Nancy on a commercial building purchase in Weaverville, and a residential property as well. I am extremely pleased with their honestly and integrity. Having dealt with at least 2 other agencies in town on two other purchases, I can honestly say that that Amy and Nancy have been exactly what I was looking for in a realtor. They are prompt and thorough and best of all pleasant to deal with. I have and will continue to recommend them both to anyone who is looking for a great realtor in our area of Trinity county.
