As a trained chef and seafood person for 18 years in the Fla. Keys. I was disgusted. I was ask to work there.... no way. Kitchen not clean, prep table just nasty. No real seafood mostly fresh water fish. Shrimp was spongy. No fresh real seafood at all. Oysters on ice.... bad move seeing the are a saltwater entities. We stopped in here this past Saturday evening hoping to get a nice meal but that wasn't the case. My husband ordered fried shrimp/scallops & I ordered gator tail/fried shrimp & we both ordered onion rings & coleslaw as our sides. The only good thing I can say is that the hostess & our server were very friendly & the coleslaw was good, but the other food was yuk! First of all, the fried items were somewhat still warm so we could tell they had sat for a while. Shrimp & gator tail were way over cooked while scallops & onion rings were nothing but breading with no seasoning whatsoever. When we checked out, the hostess asked if everything was ok & I said no, everything was over cooked & she took $10 off the bill but the $29 we spent (after her discount) was way too much for the quality we got. Tried the new location at Lake Blackshear. They missed a good chance to make a good impression from the small hours sign to the homemade poster board menu minus prices. At best the catfish was less than gas station and the steak sandwich had a soppy bottom bun that dripped. Fries were limited about 12 - with no seasoning. Slaw was the only bright spot. Service was slow and disorganized. Perhaps the man outside smoking could give helped. It was terribly overpriced- catfish with slaw /fries and s steak sandwich with fries/slaw with two teas was over 34.00. We are talking about small portions... they turned customers away because they had to close to get ready for dinner... even after they called to confirm the hours. No excuse for this place as they have it together in town. read more

Love the fish market!! These have got to be the nicest people. They truly like that they do. Today I tried the frog legs! Awesome, tender and perfectly seasoned. They didn't have enough legs so they gave me some gator tail - also super tender and great! Hope they stay around, I'll be back to try something else ! read more

Best fresh seafood restaurant ever! It's a little whole in the wall but it's awesome!

If you like fresh quality seafood this is the place. My first choice is anything fried but the grilled fish is also very good. One of the best hamburgers in town. I have dined sliver the world and there is none finer than this. Prices are a very good value and quantities are more than sufficient. The building is clean but just basic. We use to eat in the attached fish market next door which was less than desirable but the owners have added a separate sit down area next door. So many wonderful menu items prepared as you wish! read more

This is a terrific seafood restaurant. The selection is amazing and the food is fresh and delicious. My favorite is the Red Snapper grilled , blackened or fried with a side of fried green tomatoes. The exterior does not reflect just what a good restaurant this is. read more

Wonderful find just off the interstate! The baskets give plenty of food! The grilled snapper was the best ever! My husband had fried shrimp and onion rings which he said were lightly fried to perfection. Delicious sides! Great lunch on our trip home to Florida. read more

I had the shrimp dinner. 12 decent size shrimp with two sides and two hushpuppies. I've had better shrimp on the coast but, for an inland small town these were pretty good. We enjoyed the food. Crab legs were great. Price was fair and service was very friendly.

It is fresh seafood. We ordered a Captains platter and an oyster dinner. The snapper was delicious but the oysters were fried pieces, not whole oysters with too much breading, and the sea scallops were sliced into thin scallops and the grilled shrimp were small. I cannot give a good rating for the money. The baked potato was reheated. It looked at least a day old. If it wasn't for the grilled snapper the meal would have been totally unsatisfactory. Im disgusted. That place looks disgusting. They are breaking health code in so many ways. I will be reporting them! I saw them reuse the butter containers for different customers! I will pay more money for something that is clean. It is very unprofessional and I dont know how they are still open! I will never eat there again and I will tell everyone not to eat there.
