We loved this place! If you're ever in Cordele and want a good little place to eat, give it a try! We ordered the bacon cheese fries, which oh my goodness! They were LOADED with so much bacon! Yum! Then my fiancé and I decided to try their pizza. We went with one called "The Kitchen Sink," which was a mix of a meat and supreme pizza. It was very good! Their toppings were all super fresh and the crust was delicious! The atmosphere was very cute, with iron tables sitting inside a little indoor porch. It's small, and quaint! We will gladly go back when we're in the Cordele area! :) read more

So I ordered some take out from The Cove and the pizza was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had in my life, but it is definitely the best pizza at Lake Blackshear. When I went to pick it up, I noticed that the place is a really cute and cozy. Nice outdoor eating area and nice cozy little bar inside. If you are looking for some good take pizza, definitely pick this place over those nasty chains in town. It's closer and it tastes way better. I'm so glad someone decided to open a pizza place here, and they are doing a good job at it! Keep it up, y'all! read more

Wow, what a. Great find. On the road back home to Michigan from our 3 month stay in Florida we discovered this place. When traveling we always try to find something a little more interesting than the typical Comfort Inn kinda place. The Cove is about 10 to 15 minutes off the highway, not a big deal. It's located in the middle of a beautiful state park. We stayed in the main lodge, from other reviews we thought it would be the best choice. We had beautiful views of the lake and grounds. We had a great meal (2 minute walk) in the main restaurant. Ashley took great care of us, and she had a wonderful, charming personality. She really made us feel at home. Kudos also to the nice young lady that seated us. There is also another cool looking bar/restaurant on the property that wasn't open for the season yet. There are more restaurants that are only a short drive away. I could go on but I think you get the point. We will be back with our golf clubs, did I mention a golf course? read more

Once inside, was pleasantly surprised--family friendly, super nice staff! We just ordered pizza, which was delicious, and beer. We like to support local establishments rather than chains and this was a great stop for us. If you decide to stop, use google map for directions, yelp map does not show accurate location.
