6 mos after working with Ron at Tri Fitness, he's gained noticeable speed, a strong core and some biceps to boot.

That was one of the best decisions I've made since moving to Logan Square because now I've been working out there for almost 3 months. Alex (owner/trainer) let me try my first bootcamp class for free and then I signed up for a 6 week challenge. There are also new monthly packages now and Alex runs different challenges all the time! Alex is a friendly, chill guy and he really takes the time to learn about your skill level and your fitness goals and then really starts to find ways to motivate you and push you to be better! He's incredibly encouraging and my favorite part is that he's on this journey with all of us too. Having lost a lot of weight himself, he understands where a lot of different people struggle in their fitness/weight loss goals and he's always happy to share tips and tricks for working out and healthy eating. I've met some pretty fantastic people working out here and they always make me happy to wake up at 5:30AM to work out! Everyone's at different fitness and skill levels but Alex works with every member to provide modifications to exercises or to challenge you further with certain exercises. Alex changes up classes everyday so there's lots of variety and he focuses on high intensity interval training. His classes are typically 60% cardio and 40% strength training. Go check out a class if you want to get fit!

The course was geared towards postpartum moms, however it shared the same thoughtful approach to classes that I had taken at Windy City prior to becoming pregnant. A new mom herself, Coach Esther did an amazing job leading us through a curated series of classes designed to teach us (or remind us) of the basics of strength training. As someone who was intimidated by gyms, especially anything involving weights, I would recommend Windy City to anyone. When they say "we meet you where you are," they really mean that! The environment is friendly, positive, and also motivating. Often times classes include a range of skill levels, which is inspiring, and the general vibe of every class is one of encouragement. I'm excited to get back into the swing of working out at Windy City!

I saw Windy City's 6 week challenge and decided to give it a try. After completed the challenge and 2 years later I still continue to go 5 days a week, took away some good eating habits and have kept off the 16Ibs (and 10% body fat)that I lost. Windy City is not just a gym but the vibe, the coaches, and fellow members are so supportive and encouraging. They make time for their member outside gym hours to get together for some fun. I would highly recommend WCSC to anyone of every body type to join.

With great trepidation and intimidation I showed up for class, not at all looking forward to anyone watching me work out. I was immediately hooked. Not only was class incredibly accessible for my ability level, I felt like I was crushing it (I'm sure I wasn't, but Victoria certainly made me feel like I was!) Within one season long session, I decided to sign up for three classes a week - class is so much fun! Victoria is constantly coming up with clever new ideas of themes and games which make class interesting. She has one of those personalities where she makes you feel like you've been friends for 20 years. Victoria is also fantastic at providing different levels and variations of exercises to accommodate all levels of ability and anyone with an injury. I've never stuck with working out (and I've tried lots of different things), but I enjoy Victoria's enthusiasm and experience, and I am here to stay. While there is never a 'goal' outside of getting moving and becoming stronger, I am beyond pleased with my progress and how I feel. I 1000% recommend Victoria without reservation.

I continue to make friends and bond with a community of like-minded people. We are not "crazy work out people". The people I work out with are young people, older people (I am one of them--I am reluctant to admit) and some of us are dads (like me) and moms. It truly feels like a family to me...from Ryan, to my work out peers, to the other trainers. What is the work out like: No matter which group session it is, Ryan is adjusting the workout to fit the needs of each person. He has an incredible sense of what to do and how to do it so it fits into an individual person's fitness level. Five years later and Ryan is still pulling out exercises I have never done before. He is *that* good. Did I mention that on top of it all, he's a nice guy? Yeah..that too. What is the studio like: Total Results Training is Ryan's passion. The training studio is his own (not a chain) so there is a personal experience that you get from going there and from the work out. It's clean, it's well-stocked and it's bright (except maybe during an early morning work out) Ryan is not churning out the work outs, he pays attention to each person and meets their needs at every level. The committment and professional experience that is shared is very different from what I've seen at larger chain-based facilities. I'm so happy to be a part of the Total Results community. It's fun. It can be hard (today kicked my butt!). But most of all, it's rewarding and I feel *&%$-ing GREAT. You should try it too.
