Horrible trash service. We've had so many issues with billing that I've lost count. I've set up auto payment several times only be told that they can't pick up our trash because of non payment only to find out that they had a website migration and "sorry I guess your account was deleted". This trash company used to be stellar. Lately, they provide subpar service. Their trucks are constantly broken down or they simply don't pick up your trash if there's a dusting of snow outside. I've watched them pick tons of trash from neighbors who abuse their trash quantity allotment with an overflowing tote and get to my house and refuse to take a small item laying beside the level filled tote. I guess I'll just have to start overfilling like everyone else. Ridiculous that they'd reward customers who make their jobs harder. Dumb. Oh...and we ALWAYS tipped them heavily around the holidays. Not anymore...this company wouldn't get a dime from me if my HOA didn't mandate this company for our trash pickup. Hmm...maybe it's time to get the whole neighborhood to vote to drop their service and go with Waste Management at the next HOA meeting. read more

Not only does Tri-Lakes Disposal provide us an HOA discount here in Black Forest but they are courteous and do a great job!! Once they've emptied our can, they wheel it up my driveway for us .... instead of leaving it on our street ( which is dirt). I would highly recommended them for your disposal pickup! read more

once again, trash dumpster was not picked! Called and left a message no response, called next day and was told the driver said we had a truck in the way of the dumpster. Our security camera shows the driver never drove the driveway that day, somehow he saw the truck was in the way from 300 feet away and from the main road. Our truck was parked where it always is parked and the have picked up the dumpster many, many times before but somehow the truck was in the way this time! at least from the main road. Crappy service, about every two months they don't pick up our dumpster and they are terrible to deal with. I called because I forgot to put out the trash and they stopped back by right away. Where can you get that kind of service? The are courteous and polite, and they always bring the trash container back to the garage from the street. When there's a local company that provides this high level of service, it's worth giving them your business even if prices are higher, but these folks beat out the big competitors on prices, too. I've used them for haul-off containers as well, and they have great prices on those too. read more

I normally do not have a problem with this company however, after the blizzard on Wednesday March 13, they postponed service, which is understandable... They were supposed to pick up my trash on Friday March 15th, they never came. I called today, and was informed that they will not be coming out until Thursday March 21st. I informed the receptionist that because I live in the forest, that the animals are tearing up my trash bags, and allowing the trash to blow in my yard, and my neighbors yard as well, and was informed that I should move my trash to my garage. I have never seen a less professional company that literally does not care about their customers problems. I will never understand why someone who had trash pickup on Monday of last week gets priority over mine that hasn't been removed in a week and a half. We have been with Tri-lakes Disposal for 12 Years and have found them to be the best ever ! A few years ago we had snow storms that caused impassable drifts to our Dumpster for 5 weeks in a row. This business is fantastic and am surprised to see any negative reviews. We have been Tri-Lakes customers for several years. The guys have always put our cans either in the ditch near our house or attached to the t-posts at the end of the driveway because of the wind where we live. This morning I happened to go for a walk after our trash had been picked up. I saw the truck on a street near my house before walking back toward my house with my dog. The driver drove back up my street (which happens to be dirt) very slowly to reduce the dust kicked up by the truck as he passed me and stopped at the one house on the street who didn't have their trash out on time this morning. I've been a customer of Tri-Lakes Disposal for over a decade but I'm switching now. Way too often they postpone service or skip it all together. Last week was the final straw. They postponed because of weather then canceled the service all together. Then told us to have our trash out no later than 7am yesterday. Guess what, no pickup. I have been living with the odor of the excess garbage in my garage for a week because the animals will destroy it outside of the can and that is full. Now I must pick up all the garbage in my lawn, rebag it and put it all back in my garage. I strongly recommend you choose another provider. read more

Used them for 12 years, lately they miss our pick up once a month or so. Calling gets no response. The most recent miss was 4 days late, called twice, second time I was quite nasty (I had picked up the trash from animal invasion twice). I called 4 different times to change up my service, left a message each time and never received a call back. After a week of calling someone finally answered the phone, they took my new service address and assured me my trash would be picked up. We've used Tri-Lakes ever since we moved here in 2008. Bought cheap garbage cans back then, and are still using them because they are always careful with the cans and place them well back in the yard after pickup. We have never had a missed pickup, though we sometimes place our trash out a day early on holiday weeks. Whenever we are confused about whether it is recycling week or whether weather has impacted the schedule, we just check the website. I'm surprised at the negative reviews. We've never had a problem. Our regular pickup day for trash and recycling is Wednesday. Three times they have forgotten to pick up our recycling - I have had to call them and put it out again the following day. They forgot the recycling again last week. Yesterday they forgot our regular trash pickup. I called them last night at 7:11pm when we got home and the cans were still full on the curb and left a message...and stinky!!!!! I called this morning at 7:17am, 8:43am, 9:06am, 11:25am and again at 4:33pm. No one has answered the phone all day. I have a missed call (not from their main number) at 10:17am and they didn't leave a message!!! No one will return my call - there's no way to email for communication - which I could deal with....if they would just come and get the trash AND recycling! read more

I have been a customer of Tri-Lakes disposal since 2004 and had only a few issues in that time. But today....dealing with the lady on the phone was horrible. I called to find out why my trash was not picked up last week. I put it out the morning of our normal day which happened to be the same day we were leaving town. It was not picked up and we returned to our neighbors telling us they had to pick up our trash all over the neighborhood because of animals and wind. Very embarrassing. She was condescending and tried to tell me it was picked up as scheduled. Only after telling her I have video proof it was not she put me on hold. Her solution was to credit me for last week and send a truck out tomorrow. How big of you to give back my money for the service you didn't provide! Also my regular day is the day after! What I wanted was a little empathy, a sincere apology, and assurance they would look into why so it doesn't happen again. What I got couldn't have been worse. I see from their web site they are looking for customer service staff. How appropriate. There is no way to communicate with them but calling. My neighbor and I share a driveway, and since we were both Tri Lakes Disposal customers (11 years for me, nearly as long for him) we often put our lawn bags together for easier pickup. In May my neighbor saw on his bill he had been charged for putting out 20 bags of lawn clippings. I checked my bill on-line and I had likewise been charged. This would have been 40 bags between us, a ridiculously high number as we had not put out nearly that many. I called Tri Lakes and left a message asking to discuss the matter, and did not receive a call-back or email through their billing service. I called a number of additional times over the next few weeks, but no one answered the phone or returned my call. Finally, in frustration I terminated the service with a telephone message, and received an instant response instructing me to submit the payment for the supposedly high number of bags. I paid the bill and moved my account to a national company with responsive customer service. Over the 11 years I have been with this Tri Lakes Disposal, customer service has recently deteriorated significantly! read more
