Our usual HHA unfortunately had surgery and will be out for one month and RHC sent us a few different home health aides who should NEVER work as aides. My mother-in-law who is bedbound, was placed in a flat position and fed which almost killed her because she was choking on her food. Secondly, we asked for someone who at least speaks English and they sent us a woman who cannot speak one word of it. Thirdly, the woman was supposed to work from eight in the morning until eight at night, by the time it was 6 PM, She already had all her bags packed her jacket on and was ready to go home. When asked if she fed my mother-in-law, she said she did, however, when we looked on our video cameras, we noticed that was at lunchtime at 12 o'clock. How dare this company send us these people who cannot take care of another human being. I am appalled at the service I received from them as well. I tried speaking to her case manager, which didn't work, and then I spoke to the CEO personally who was rude and obnoxious to me. All I asked him for was his email address and he refused to give it to me. Just remember, this is a 501(c)(3) company, how do they not have transparency by giving us the email of their CEO. When asked, they said they are not allowed to give it. What are they hiding? We were supposed to receive a new woman today, which we did who was very nice. She walked in and looked confused. She says to us I do not work with bedbound patients, but, it was told to us that this lady worked with bedbound patients all the time. The case manager actually said to us on speakerphone with this lady here in our house and on the phone with us that she was a liar. This company made over $30 million last year $3 million in profit. I wonder where all that money goes considering it's a 501(c)(3) company let's see if I can find out any transparency from that. They don't realize I used to be the head of the Board of Directors for the Williams Syndrome Association 10 years ago and any information that any of the members wanted they were able to receive. This is a crooked company. I highly suggest you never ever ever do business with them!!!!! I will be calling the Better Business Bureau and some local politicians regarding this company since I can definitely see that is definitely for profit and they also do not care at all About performing their work in a respectable way. The director of this residential community, Ahron is not only an excellent, capable professional administrator but a compassionate, caring, creative human being as well. The latter is more important when it comes to the care of ones loved ones. I needed to communicate with Ahron quickly and efficiently and he made this possible! The way that problems were resolved was very much with a 21st century ethos. The facility itself is quite nice. And it is well located with access to supermarkets, public transport and religious services. My mother has a spacious room with a firm bed and access to her own bathroom, meals are served three times a day and there are many activities to do. My mother loves her room, the food and the community, medical care and staff! If you need to have your family member admitted at a community look no further than New Haven Manor!
