Went to see Dr Agnew for this medical problem to see about getting a hip replacement. I was told this was something that was necessary to relieve the pain i was having in my rt hip and in my rt leg. Went to the apt, had my intake done by another staff member, was taken for hip xrays , even though i had my xray disk with me that i had from an order from my PCP. The doctor came in the exam room after my xrays done in his facility, informed me that i did have the arthritis as told to me by my PCP, and confirmed with the previous xrays, which dr Agnew never opened and reviewed, and began to tell me he wouldn't do surgery on me due to medications i was on. He never asked me any of my health history, and was, i suspect, only looking at my medication list. There was little eye contact, no conversation with me except to say he would only do surgery on me if I was off all my meds (for which he didn't understand any reason I was on them) and would have to have urine tests to confirm i was not on these meds. I was so shocked he didn't even discuss my heath issues and treated me as if I was bothering him. I was not there for any meds, but in pain so bad, i new i needed his help for my hip. He then left the exam room and my husband went to get the car for us to leave while I was checking out, and he saw the doctor leaving for the day. The only thing Dr Agnew had me do was make an apt for a hip injection that was scheduled by his staff. The apt was scheduled for 8/12, at least 6 wks from this apt, and he doesn't even do these injections. On leaving, I went to the ladys room, went to leave, but his staff had locked the doors for the day. I was humiliated by his accucations of being an addict and not having any conversation with him at all about my hip problems, or any other health problems that required me to take my prescribed medications. He knew before he ordered his xrays he wasn't going to deal with me. I question his charge to medicare and Highmark, when i don't think he even discussed my health issues. Yes, i know the problems being on my meds and needing surgery, but no communication! No answers to any questions i had very poor review of this doctor needed to ask, no review of my health problems. On my discharge papers, i read that his conclusion was " Primary osteoarthritis of rt hip. Chronic narcotic dependence (notable code), and tobacco use". No mention of any of my other health history. How can any doctor treat a patient without discussing their health or history and just come to his own conclusions? It's been a month of waiting for some relief for my pain. I've tried to reach the schedulars to up my injection and have had no call back. 6 wks is too long to wait for an injection when i can barely walk due to my hip problem. I thought doctors were to help people, not humiliate them, then to leave them in pain without any other advice for at least 6 wks! If you have any underlying health issues and need an orthopedist, i would never suggest this doctor. My quality of life has suffered greatly due to this pompous doctor.

Unlike any previous physician's appointment, received multiple email and texts including the day of appointment to be sure the appointment was kept, these comms included prompts to fill out documentation online which I did well in advance. Arrived 15 minutes early as a courtesy to the physician as no doctor wants to wait on a late patient. Signed in and was told to take a seat. 25 minutes later I approached the desk and asked how much longer the wait would be. The person laughed saying I'd only been waiting 10 minutes based on our appointment time but wouldn't say how much longer we'd have to wait. She said she'd been unable to read my sign-in paper, said I needed to print. Responded that I had printed, suppose she couldn't be bothered to step around her desk and mention this to anyone in the waiting room. She gave me 4 docs to fill out by hand even though I told her I'd filled out everything requested online long ago. After a total of 45 minutes in the waiting room along with an elderly lady of 93 who also had the same appointment time with Dr. Kubik I approached the desk again. Again I asked how long the wait would be and was told the Dr. is a specialist and that she had no idea. For some reason she didn't want to be bothered to get an update from the doctor or his nurse and didn't seem to care how long I'd been waiting or how much longer it would take. As a result I advised her I'd wait no longer and left. My time is every bit as important as anyone else and I'll not do business with any organization that acts otherwise. Don't understand how anyone can give the Cranberry office a 5-star review. Left that office both angry and frustrated and would discourage anyone who is considering care at that location.

I decided to schedule an appointment with him after being examined by two other doctors who I felt weren't listening to me regarding the issues I was having with my feet. Dr. Ridenour really listened, worked to get a thorough understanding of my condition, and didn't rush to say surgery before trying conservative methods. The surgery that Dr. Ridenour performed (which was different than what the other two doctors were recommending) was successful - every step of the process was clearly explained to me, and Dr. Ridenour didn't mind "all the questions." I would highly recommend him to anyone with foot or ankle issues.

This doctor only addressed 50% of the two issues - elbow and wouldn't address my shoulder at all. He couldn't have cared less and even smirked about it when I asked about my shoulder. $190 for the visit and 4-5 min spent w/him - max! He's a part of the problem with the medical field today and I thought it was always insurance companies to blame with 5 min a patient visit but when I asked about my shoulder, again, he just smirked at me. I'm sure he wanted me to setup another appointment despite the fact, again, he could have addressed my shoulder in the additional 2-5 minutes but the single visit $190 plus x-ray cost wasn't enough for him. It's really a breach of his medical oath to not even do a quick assessment of my shoulder. And the office won't tell you they'll only address one issue at a time until after you've checked in. If there was zero stars to rate him - that'd be it! My guess is when he started out as a doctor, freshly had taken his oath he was probably good, but he simply doesn't truly CARE about his patients anymore.
