I imagine our friendly waitress must've carried it to our table with both hands with biceps strained from the weight. Impressive. I rarely order fish sandwiches but I'll have to make a return trip to try this behemoth for myself and see how it hits me in the eats. I tried my first Culver's shake and was expecting it to be a flop because I'm an ice cream kind of guy and not accustomed to this custard charlatan nonsense trying to fake out my palette. I'm humbled. I had a mint shake and it WAS made with custard and it WAS delicious and it WAS beautifully presented in the clear cup it came in. And smooth. Oh it was one smooth shake and evenly flavored throughout. This custard stuff has something going for it. Come summertime when this Kentucky heat begins beating me down, I anticipate giving Culver's a reasonable portion of my paycheck for mint shakes alone. And then burgers. And maybe fish sandwiches. And that special root beer. And the cheese curds. Oh yeah and the fries. Cool place to eat. I dig the blue and white look and appreciate the cleanliness of the joint. Fish beware. I'm coming hungry next time and got my line out for ya.

About twice a month I drive a sixty mile round trip to get a chicken liver dinner from Lees. In the…read morepast their livers have been the best you can buy very moist and soft however on my visit today I received a dinner with livers that were dry as a bone and hard as a rock. I was there at about 7:00pm and I know exactly what they did. These livers obviously had been sitting around for hours allowing them to dry out. Why in the you know what would a manager allow something like this to be served to their customers? I don't know if I will go back not knowing if I'm going to get trash or not. You lost a great customer Lees!

I ate all three pieces in front of me and I opted for potato wedges and the Mac and cheese and I ate all of that too! All of it in one sitting. And I don't regret it. The chicken was sooo good! And that biscuit i had... oh man. I peeled it apart and took a look at it. Beautifully golden and lightly translucent from the butter. The young man who took my order made sure I didn't forget the honey for my biscuit and it was absolutely perfect. Lee's served me up with a biscuit better than some places in town that are supposedly known for their biscuitcraft. Oh yeah. The chicken! Lets get back to the chicken with its crunchy skin and tender meat all good to devour on their own nastiness but also accompanied by sauces to dip in. Oh my. It keeps the meal interesting when you have delicious sauces to change up the flavors with. I had ranch and honey mustard to work with and alternated between the two. The actual meal was a blur reminiscent of a shark feeding frenzy. I sat in my seat, the chicken was placed near me, and a instantly a pile of bones would appear. The workers must have thought i was a wood chipper type of machine. I sat near a TV in a tidy little dining room.which. The service was top notch and the employees looked like they enjoyed themselves at work. Not a bad experience at all. I'll be back for a gizxard meal some day. And a chicken sandwich. Props to the young dude who recommended the potatoes wedges. They were phenomenal.
