It was time to replace the roof that was perilously old after a large windstorm blew off a patch of shingles. Our contractor put in a huge bid, hoping that our insurance company would simply write them a check. Didn't happen. I did an extensive review of roofers in the area and settled on North Idaho Exteriors and one other. Both jumped off of the page. I had solid bids fairly quickly from both companies. Chris Haley reached out to me and sent me all of the information. Chris noted to me that they couldn't get started on it for 3 months but would send a crew out to cover up and patch the exposed area of the roof. A huge help! Wil McGuire called me and let me know that they were going to knock out the roof the next day. I was impressed that they were able to finish the whole project in a day. It makes it much nicer for the tenants. Wil kept me informed of the progress throughout the day with copious photos, videos, and explanations. Sadly, all of our plywood sheeting needed to be replaced as it was very soft and rotting out. There was also a ceiling joist that was in need of repair. The whole tear down and installation was finished within the day. The only downside was the extra cost of the plywood (which I had anticipated). Chris helped me out and matched the other bid that I had received to help soften the blow of the additional cost. The communication process has been amazing. Chris and I have had many very nice conversations (talking about baseball and our kids). Makes it nice when you have a personal connection in addition to the business transaction. Very nice, smooth, and easy transaction with a very high quality, warrantied, roof. I highly recommend!

We recently bought a home that desperately needed a new roof and mold remediation. The mold issue was a huge health concern for us since we have three very young children and I have asthma. It was urgent to get the roof done ASAP, since it had to be completed before they could start on the mold issue. I talked to several roofers in the area and did several bids. North Idaho Exteriors was the only one that was concerned about my family health and willing to re-arrange their schedule to help us out (due to our time crunch). They were very competitive with their bid, had the best warranty, were extremely friendly and professional (unlike most the others I talked to), left the job site clean, did excellent work, and had it all completed in only two days! Myself, and my 85 year old father pulled the carpet, removed the carpet pad, and moved one piece of furniture. We had two fans ourselves (one being industrial) that we put in the area, and then called Tobin. They came and supplied a dehumidifier and a couple of fans. Tobin stated that it would be around 900 dollars. Which seemed reasonable because we handled most of the hard items. The following week, the dollar amount was paid in full, and the fans were removed. My father then received a phone call stating that what was just part of the amount. They wanted $2200.00 more! They stated they have two separate departments. One that tears down and one that puts it back together. This is not agreed upon verbally. Then claiming there are two separate departments when this was NOT communicated upon arrival at the house. Their invoicing practice is fraudulent and dishonest. I will NEVER use them again for any business. I recommend ANYONE ELSE in Idaho Falls. Don't bother having the owner respond to this review. Update: Tobin's owner visited homeowner and reduced the bill.

He kind of scoffed when I mentioned "Quality" and with obvious reasons. So repairman number 1 cleans it all out, gets it running again and says they will order yet another flame sensor. Meanwhile, Greg, who incidentally, has been quite kind through all this, calls Quality to come out. I want someone to get to the bottom of the issue. Twenty years in my condo, never saw a single heating issue. Now I have issues every year, probably due to poor install. So Quality comes out, replaces the sensor that I've already paid $90 via the other company and I get a bill for $89. I pay the $89 but I'm ticked and tell them as much. Then lo and behold, they decide to send a bill to include $80 for the flame sensor!!! I'm livid at this point and call and the creep is flippant and rude as hell having no qualms whatsoever about the additional charges. Rockwell is awesome and I love my home more than I can say. But they definitely need to cut ties with heating company. The company is totally dishonest and greedy.
