Just had our tree removed a few weeks ago. My husband asked if the stump removal was includedand the man said yes (even pir door cam showes he said this). The day that they removed the stump, the crew manager even discussed the prosses of the removal and said it would be 2 weeks for the guy to come out. After 5 weeks and a email they said it was included and have no memory of discussing it, but would do it for a extra charge. They also took a week (after we called) to collect the all debris causing us to get a fine from the HOA as they told us they would collect it within 24 hrs. The crew ruined our Neighbors property causing us to get fine even more. Dont use them because they will lie especially if you live in a HOA. read more

This business mailed me a flier for a free consultation. I called to set up the appointment. They made the appointment within a day but it was between a 4 hour window from 8-12. The estimator Dave called at 1030 and said he would arrive by 1100. I explained to Dave I wanted a quote for pruning and removal of ta tree line dividing my property and the neighbors. My neighbor had already agreed to have trees removed since they were on his property. Dave would not give me a written quote until I talked to my neighbor again. He didn't want to measure and take pictures of all the trees in question. This is literally what I scheduled the appointment for. I wasted half a day witng on him for him not to do his job. Then he wants to do a follow-up and waste another half day for him to come back out and do what should have been done initially. They lost my business already. read more

Avoid them at all cost. Believe me, it's not worth it. I arranged for tree services on my property in March 2023 that resulted in several issues that were not resolved adequately. 1. One of the trees only had a portion of the branch removed despite me reminding the workers during my lunch break as well as before they left. They stated that the drawings did not show the entire branch was to be removed since it was missing one line - just the external portion, despite the marking extending to the base of the branch. The worker called me little lady and stated there's nothing he can do for me because it was after hours and I would just need to call customer service the next day to follow up. I contacted customer service and didn't hear back until the week after. I spoke with Brandon who gave me the estimate and he stated he does 10-12 estimates a day and cannot recall what was agreed upon; thus, he can only make another estimate for me to pay beyond what was agreed upon for the team to come back to remove the remaining portion of the branch. Even getting the estimate to finish the job was difficult and required multiple messages including ones where I had to take a photo of the tree for him to draw which part of the branch to remove. 2. My fence was damaged and no workers notified me prior to leaving. It was disappointing when I realized that upon coming outside my house after they'd left. I immediately emailed customer service and also left a voicemail. It wasn't until the next week did I get a response. Following that, it was a complete nightmare trying to get it fixed. After a lot of going back and forth, someone finally came out to "fix it". Unfortunately, it resulted in way more issues than a broken picket. When they "fixed it", they placed a picket that was too long and delved into the dirt and made it difficult to open/close my fence door. The only way to open it was by digging the dirt in the path of that one picket out. It also raised the rest of my door and made my latch not align properly. It went from a broken picket to a non-functional door. I immediately informed customer service and got a call back indicating that someone would correct it; however, no one did that week. I gave them an additional week prior to calling them back and Jeff who answered stated that he would come back to fix it personally. He never came. I emailed back and didn't get a response. I waited an additional week and emailed again--I got a response back and was told that it was the best they can do. The issue is, they never came back to shorten that picket, so I do not believe that "repair" is the "best" they can do. There was never an apology and now there's radio-silence. They've completely ignored my follow up email requesting for someone to come fix it with pictures to show that the picket they placed digs into the dirt and makes it difficult to open the door. 3. The debris was left in my front yard and not picked up until I called back multiple times requesting for it to be picked up. I wish I hadn't gone with this company, and I highly advise anyone else to avoid them if at all possible. If my experience is representative of the norm, you can expect zero decency/professionalism/service if there are issues that arise. read more

This is a review of my experience when employing Tri State Tree Service in Pensacola Florida to perform tree removal and trimming at my home. Who is Tri State Tree - if you look at their website, tristatetree.com they will lead you to believe that they are a family-owned local business with 30+ years of service. That was true up until the original owner, who seemingly ran an outstanding business, sold the company. Tri State Tree is actually Green View Solutions LLC doing business as Tri State Tree. It appears when searching Sunbiz that around June of 2020 Tri State was bought and Green View Solutions LLC was created. So, you are not really dealing with a family-owned local company with 30+ years of experience. You are dealing with what appears to be an absentee "investor/owner" that bought Tri State. In simple terms its seems to me they are effectively a new company with new ownership. What you get when you call them - the website again leads you to believe that they are a locally owned company. But, and its a big but, when you call them, you are actually calling a call service located in the Philippines. On the surface, not necessarily bad. However, when you have issues as I did that is the only person you will be able to reach. You will not be able to get the leadership on the phone nor will they respond to email and they do not return phone calls or messages. I have sent several with no reply. What you get when they quote - I will say the gentleman that provided the quote was prompt, knowledgeable and is a trained arborist. A true professional and worth noting that he is the only person I have been able to reach outside of the call center in the Philippines. They do have an impressive and very sophisticated quoting tool and marketing pitch. What I got when they finally showed up to work - We engaged Tri-State Tree Service to perform the following tasks: 1. Removal of one tree and grinding of the remaining stump. 2. Trimming of two additional trees. 3. Removal of all debris resulting from these services. The initial scheduled date for these services was August 9, 2024. Unfortunately, Tri-State Tree Service did not attend the appointment, nor did we receive any prior communication regarding the cancellation. Despite numerous attempts to contact the company, I was informed around 3:00 PM CST on August 9th that the work would not be performed as scheduled. The service was subsequently rescheduled to August 15, 2024. The work was completed by the crew on August 15, 2024, and the stump removal was finalized on August 16, 2024. The stump removal was prompt and professional, Interesting to note that stump removal is performed by a third party and was the only thing conducted on time and without damaged to my property. Additionally, the following damages occurred during the execution of the work: Damage to the concrete driveway from negligent tree removal Damage to a brick retaining wall due to negligent movement of equipment. Extensive damage to the backyard turf, including deep ruts, noticeable tracks, bald spots and turf destruction. Multiple large stains in front of our home from a hydraulic fluid leak during debris removal. Tri State has not proactively reached out to correct any of the damage after several attempts to have them do so. They are aware of the damage and sadly they do not respond to calls or email requesting a plan to correct the damage. In conclusion - I have been exceedingly patient waiting for TriState to address the damage with hope that this will be resolved amicably and I have spent countless hours working to rectify the mess created by using Tri State. Yes, the tree is gone, the stump is gone, and the trimming is done but the damage caused by their negligence coupled with the complete and shocking lack of leadership, accountability and professional conduct shown by this organization is shocking. The above is just my experience with this company and is why I gave 1 star. Proceed with caution and at substantial risk to your property and your time. read more

My experience with Tri State was top notch from beginning to end! The cost was very reasonable....actually felt like a steal for all that was included. They were so professional and timely. I was nervous about the trees that were around the power lines and hovering my house being a problem for them, but let me say this again....THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS!!!...not Larry from around the corner or a buddy of a buddy who cuts trees. Got an estimate from tri state to prune a tree was sent photo showing what would be cut, this is picture that was sent back to me, yellow lines are what was to be cut or pruned, they only cut bottom of tree, nothing above the zig zag line were touched after a supervisor came out and he understood what wasn't done and said he'd have crew come back out, I wasn't here when they came back they cut a few more limbs off bottom and left, called complained but nothing done, so I payed and chalked it up as another rip off company promised a full moon but only a quarter moon, I guess they prey on older retired people knowing they can't do anything about but complain, I held up my end and paid, I guess that's on me for trusting them, and I sure they have some satisfied customers, but this ones not, lie, cheat, steal, that's a theft, something the world would be better off without. read more
