"MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM, PUT IN WRITING WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO. THEN DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHECK WHAT THEY GAVE YOU IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT. AND THEN CHECK IT AGAIN". We hired ERIN Hurd of Hurd Brothers to trim a fence line, in our neighbor hood. They gave us a quote that did not resemble what we asked for. So we asked for an in person meeting. We showed him what we wanted, they had done this work for us in the past.. So after verbally agreeing to do what we wanted, we gave him the go ahead. He showed up a week later and only did what was in the quote. Shame on us for not making him write a new quote. But you would think after doing business with someone for 15 plus years you could trust them.. So for $3,000 we had 32' out of 350' fence line trimmed, he trimmed 1/2 of a crepe myrtle tree that were scaping on a roof. but let the other 1/2 go without trimming. So now in the front yard of two homes we have one big lopsided crepe myrtle. We will never hire him again and we recommend that you do not either... read more

I had Hurd Bros Tree Care remove a 60 foot tree near electrical wires and two stumps. They came within a week of my call, 3 people worked quickly and safely, and the work was done! The quote for the work was 20% less than what my usual lawn care person quoted me. You can tell that taking care of trees is all that these guys do and they have the right equipment for the job. I can't say enough about Hurd Brothers. We were contracted for the removal of four large dead trees and various trimming on our property and scheduled for late September/early October. With Irma possibly bearing down, we were a little nervous. Aaron called us after hours on Thursday evening (first week of September) and asked if we were available the next day for them to complete the work. They showed up at 8am, worked all day, and finished the job. They got the stumps on the dead trees down to ground level without grinding (at our request-the root systems are contributing to a retaining wall) and took care to get the live trees away from the house with a minimum of reduction in canopy cover. William and his crew did a great job for me! It wasn't a big job, just some pine branches interfering with my satellite reception. So I appreciated them coming over and taking the time to do it. The branches were 30 ft up so it required some rope work that was impressive to watch. Good clean up afterwards and they were very nice to deal with. Price was fair also. read more

My property was damaged as we received a heavy blow from a rare EF3 tornado in pensacola Feb 2016. Hurd was recommended to me and I couldn't have been more pleased. They were right there. They were honest and worked on through to completion. They have the big equipment needed to do the job quickly. Their men practiced good safety measures. 2 of the pines were over 60 ft high and in the midst of wires and other obstacles. Many services were gouging as they often do during emergencies, but Hurd was fair. They cleared all the debris and trimmed limbs that could become a problem in the future.
