Walking in can intimidating if you're a newbie. However, once you learn protocol, the environment is super welcoming. Triangle shooting academy is my range of choice for several reasons. Reason 1 - I've never walked into the range and felt alone, the employees are helpful and knowledgeable on all guns. Overall, If you're intimidated, or just want to practice shooting. Triangle Shooting Academy is the place to be. They also offer a great selection of accessories.

First-time customer. Everything was organized, and we were guided thru quickly. Great place to shoot when in the area. They have an abundance of classes and services. They have supplies and anything you might need. The range officers were very friendly and helpful. Not imtadamting at all You felt that you knew them for years. I would recommend that if you are looking for a new place to shoot, here it is.

The facilities and staff at Triangle Shooting Academy are A-1. They were so friendly and professional. Since this was my first time going to a shooting range, I was very nervous and unsure of what to do. They were very patient and helpful. By the time I left, I was comfortable and knowledgeable about what to do (and not do). Also, they had a wide selection of firearms and accessories to purchase. I can not recommend this location enough. They definitely earned my business, and I can't wait to go back.

I highly recommend this indoor range for beginner and experienced shooters. Triangle Shooting Academy offers and maintains a safe and supportive environment for learning and practicing safe firearm handling. Before you go, definitely check out their website. It is detailed and it clearly lists their prices. I've been to Triangle Shooting Academy multiple times before and during COVID-19 to visit the range and their retail side. Currently they are open and are not taking lane reservations. There is a tent set up outside to greet customers, check your range pass, and provide you a retail and/or range sticker. If you are a new customer, fill out the waiver and watch their safety video beforehand to save time. Once inside, there is a line for the retail side and a separate line for the range desk. On a Saturday, we have waited almost 2 hours for a lane. On a Friday, there was no wait. If there is a wait for the range, I would recommend joining the waitlist and then checking out the retail area. The retail area is large and organized, prices are reasonable, and employees are available to answer questions. If one employee is not able to answer your question, then they find someone who can. Shout out to Alex who was incredibly helpful during our latest visit. He was patient, knowledgeable, and efficient. There are 4 bays, 33 lanes total, each 25 yards long. At the range desk, you provide them with your range card and license and pay for the range fee and if applicable targets, ammo, rental gun, and ear and eye protection. When your lane is ready protect your ears and eyes and proceed to your assigned lane. Once at the range, it's straightforward, however, there are several associates available if you need assistance. They also will provide support and tips as needed. Regarding COVID-19, they do limit the number of people in the bays and everyone is wearing a mask. They also have lines for crowd control. They do have a membership program and classes, however, I have not experienced either.

The place seems well run, organized, and clean. While in the lanes though, staff will get in your space, move your things, gossip.

Are shotguns permitted on the range and if so what are the limits on types of shells that can be used? Are the RSO's able to offer knowledgeable advice on shotguns for home defense?

My wife and I swear we saw someone shooting a shotgun in the range. We definitely have seen rifles there. They hold advanced self defense classes there. There facilities are top notched. To answer your question you would have to call there site for…

They reserved a private portion of the range for us that had four booths and our own range safety officer. Will (our RSO) was absolutely fantastic. He was personable, fun, and a blast to be around. We had the range for two hours during which we rented out a couple fun guns to shoot along with the ones we brought. The range had plenty to offer with drills and scenarios, and to be honest, it could not have been better if we tried. I cannot recommend OnPoint enough for your range or party needs. Definitely give this place a chance! 5 Shootin' Stars out of 5!

Mark showed us how to handle an automatic pistol and demonstrated the safety principles necessary for responsible conduct at a range. Mark supervised us in the early part of our reservation and gave us pointers on clearing jams and other concerns. Braxton took over later and oversaw the safety of our range and that of others using the other lanes. We encountered a few snags like jams because we were firing a .22 but the staff were great and ensured we had a great time. I purchased the On Point Six Pack deal and highly recommend it. The overall cost was about half of what I had expected to pay. The range and store are clean and well-maintained and I plan to return soon.
