Being able to do things without pain has been so amazing. I went on a trip and knew that I wouldn't have been able to do a lot of the things I did without Pilates. I have flat feet and an extra bone in one foot. My whole body is misaligned because of it and I have had several injuries that are exacerbated by the severe pronation. Working out has always been difficult, pulling muscles easily, spraining my ankles constantly, and knees slipping out of place with barely any force. Pilates has made it possible for me to strengthen, align, and improve every part of my body, allowing me to live a more functional life, all while in grippy ankle socks. This is a drug and alcohol rehab for men and there are 13 steps of sobriety that they have to go through. Anytime I travel I collect all those little toiletries bring them back and they are donated along with men's clothes and shoes and other things that I might purchase to help people get their lives on a good path again.
