I stayed at the Tribeca Buenos Aires Apart in September 2019 (3 days) as part of a group travel trip. Myself along with 15 people traveled across South America with the Contiki travel company. The hotel is about a 30min ride from the Ezeiza International Airport. Costs about US$25 depending on what taxi company you use. The hotel is very close to 'Av. 9 de Julio' which is a main street housing the trains, buses, and some nice shops.
The room - My friend and I had a double bedded room which was very spacious and well lit. There are high ceilings and lots of curtains. I didn't like the curtains too much, specifically around the door/entrance to our room; It doesn't lend the most privacy. It looks great in terms of design, but you can literally look right into someones place if they have not pulled the curtains correctly. Each room is features a mini fridge, TV, mirrors, and a table to sit at. Weirdly however, there was one king sized bed and a small twin sized bed beside it. Felt like something for a family with a child or something similar. Many of the other travelers had the same setup. Not sure why, but it would have been better to have 2 full sized beds. I slept on the twin bed which was alright, not the most comfy, but it did the job. Secondly, upon arriving to Buenos Aires, I underestimated how cold it would be. We were in the middle of winter, so I expected the room would be toasty. It wasn't. We we're given a space heater which helped but I would've preferred central air or more insulation.
The bathroom was also poorly designed. There is a standing shower, toilet, sink, and bidet. Plenty of towels and toiletries. I say that it was poorly designed because there were meaningless openings around the shower. Whenever we took a shower, there would be a flood of water on the floor. The same around the sink. We had to request a towel for the floor but the towel wasn't enough, so we ended up using a personal towel on the floor. Coupling that with the cold floor, it wasn't the greatest experience. There is however, good water pressure and lots of hot water.
Service/Food: The staff were helpful, courteous, and attentive. There are a few who are bilingual (speaking English), so we did not have any trouble communicating. Every concern we had was addressed promptly, no issues. The hotel offers continental breakfast each morning from 6am-10am. I loved the breakfast as there was something for everyone, and everything tasted very fresh. Breakfast includes a variety of pastries, croissants, hot beverages, and even cold cereal.
Overall, given the great location and staff, its a good place to stay for a short term visit. read more
