We had a crucial deadline that needed to be met in under thirteen days, we had to get everything moved out of our place and into the new place by the beginning of this month. It was due to conflicting schedules with my roommate's work and school timing so that in order to begin our lease earlier than anticipated we would have to move in earlier also. Thankfully we were able to reach out to these guys and they helped us make that huge dilemma of ours into a simplified and easy move. We had to move north about six hundred miles and were considering all of the possible things that could have happened to our stuff on the way. Thankfully this company had accounted for that and they had several different types of crates, boxes, and even insurance deals to help us get over our doubts and fears. All of the electronics were packed neatly next to each other while the clothing were all folded and neatly layered in the crates.  It took us about four days or less just to get everything packed up, labeled up all of the boxes and carried the furniture out into the trucks from the house. After that it was all up to the movers to get the things shipped into our new place by the end of the following week, they told us this would be no issue. Fortunately enough, the movers did exactly as they promised and had our things delivered in under seventy two hours, expedited shipping was also very cheap compared to other places. I called and received an estimate for a move from Wisconsin to Minnesota. Their quote came in 4 times higher than the rest at $23,000+ dollars. I called to see if they had the decimal point wrong. Nope, that was their bid. Way out if line. They said they would recheck the numbers and get back to me. I never received the call back. read more

Day one started off as a breeze as all we really had to do was greet the movers outside and show them around our old house. They wanted to get a quick and easy walkthrough just to see what amount of things needed to be moved and also the relative size of the larger sets of furniture. They soon took notes of everything that was there and called back to their main branch to set the things up for the following day. The second day was when things really started to get into motion. The movers arrived with two trucks and seven or eight men ready to get to work hauling and lifting stuff. Two men stayed by the trucks after about an hour or two of working inside just to make sure the things in the trucks were aligned properly. After about three or four hours they took their first break and then during that half hour the movers drove the two trucks back to the warehouse and unloaded the stuff. They proceeded back to our place just in time to be loaded up again and drive back the second load of the day which was also the last load that they moved that day. The following day was very reminiscent of the second as a lot of running around and hauling of heavy tables and couch sets were the main things happening. We offered the movers as much help as we could have provided and they politely declined each time saying it would be easier if they did it themselves. After two more days of long and tiresome moving like that we finally emptied out the house. Some of the movers stayed back each day and helped us clean up the little scraps of trash on the floors and staircases. They were already off the clock and I really liked how they did this, my dad tipped each of them generously and we thought that was not enough so we left them this review. The car arrived within 4 days which is good. They gave me reasonable quote too. What i didnt like is the fact that i was not given even a little notice on when car was arriving. I was told that the driver will call us a day before and let us know the timing. He called when the car is already dropped off. We havent arrived at our new place yet and when i told him to wait for 1 hour they were not at all accomodative. Luckily we were almost there and were able to pick up the keys. read more

If I had to rewind time and go back to the day we got the call that we were moving, I would not change the fact that Trico was the first place we called and struck a deal with. All my friends and cousins told me to call a few other places and check their rates, but I knew a thing or two about moving. Most companies in the local area have certain rates whether it be local or long distance, and those rates vary only minimally among competition. What they were telling me was to try to call and get a few other quotes for how much a move of our caliber would be but I did not. I figured these guys answered everything to the very way we wanted it and they would be the right guys for our move regardless of a few extra dollars more or less. So we scheduled a time for an estimator to arrive and take notes of the layout of our building. He called back to his headquarters and told them how much equipment and manpower would be needed and also the types of equipment they would need to bring. Within about forty five minutes of that phone call these guys had about eight or nine guys arrive to our place with dollies and ropes ready to get things started. That first day they only worked about five or six hours until sundown and then left most of the equipment there to come back the next day and finish the process. They arrived early the next morning and we were able to finish just about everything in the house. After that it was a much smoother process, would totally recommend these guys. read more

We kept getting recommendations to different places and all of her references were from reliable sources. However, we saw these guys online and thought that they were the best fit for the type of move that we had. It was a long distance move across the country and it required extreme efficiency and attention to detail, and these movers had a lot of that. They were very hard workers and they did not stop or take a break until each room was clean and empty it out entirely of furniture. These guys are so cool that they helped us unpack whenever they delivered the goods to the new house. read more

These movers were an absolute delight to have in our home and work with, they did not make it uncomfortable or weird to be helping us out which was really awesome. They asked us beforehand how they wanted everything to be done and which rooms were the most crucial to have moved out first. We appointed them different tasks throughout the house and they obliged providing no fuss or complaint along the way, they were very organized and easy to communicate with which made this entire moving process so easy instead of a complicated headache. It was not long until we realized how much of an obstacle this move actually was when we noticed the movers carrying out all of the couches and table sets. The larger pieces of furniture all had to be disassembled to be carried out and then reassembled either by the truck or at our new home. Luckily our movers were very smart and experienced and knew this beforehand, they very quickly were able to take apart the things that were too large to fit through the narrow doorways and either fixed them back together by the truck or during the day they delivered it all to the new place. Things worked out better than we had expected, the time it took to actually get everything out of our old place was much shorter than we thought it would take. Also it took about three days to receive all of our things and considering how far it was being transported we were very excited to begin unpacking and furnishing the place. We had intentions of starting this move a few weeks later than anticipated, however my parents like to get things done and out of the way so we got started early. Luckily for us these guys were open and available to come help us out for move, and they were able to bring a team of their most experienced movers with the trucks full of equipment. They were arrived very early in the morning and did not knock on our door until the exact minute that they were scheduled to. My parents had noticed this the next day and called them inside early for coffee. Very great group of guys, we would totally use them again. read more

Too bad, too, because we have a sizable move that surely would have meant plenty of $ in their pockets! I only had two weeks to move out and was freaking out about the process. It's not every day you are involved in long distance moves. I found these guys through my uncle. He had used them before and thankfully he did remember the company's name. After contacting them, I did tell them that I absolutely had to move out by the end of next week. I was freaking out cause my old place had long stairs, and it was a lot of stuff to pack and move down. I contacted them and the receptionist was very sweet. The quote she provided me was very reasonable for the amount of work that was supposed to be done. They started working and right off the bat, i liked the work the movers did. They were professional, and their equipments were on point. I was so impressed, because I didn't know they actually used it. The boxes were all packaged well and the trucks were clean. The guys were very fast with their work. It was great because they were supposed to finish the work within ten days, but instead they were able to move everything out and finish the work within 8 days. It was such a relief to know that not only they did a fantastic job, but their fast work was also fantastic. My furniture did not have any scratches or damages. The walls of the house, and the doors weren't damaged either, which was surprising to me because the doors are a bit narrower than most doors. These gentlemen deserve five stars and I would recommend it to my family and friends, and would go back to them if i ever needed help moving again. read more

Could not have expected this entire move to have gone any smoother, the moment they walked in they were able to provide us a quick estimate of how much work it would require to complete. They arrived with a team of two supervisors along with five movers and all of them immediately disbursed and got to work. My parents love their attention to detail and their ability to manage all aspects of the move even when they were not present. Very disappointed in this vendor. They were rated as a top ten mover on yelp, so I requested a bid. Their bid came in at about 400% higher than all other vendors. When I called to find out if this was an error, they said "no", it was not an error. They agreed, however, to review our request and send us an updated bid. I never heard from them again. My family moved from Minneapolis to California. They don't speak English too well so they asked me to look for movers. These guys were the only ones around that would give a reasonable cost for the move. They were really helpful with packing tips and were on time for pickup. we used this company a year ago for a small move, and the job was so well done that i called them again for a larger move. the coordinator on the phone gave me a great price and we planned the pickup for the following day. We actually ended up having more stuff than we had thought, but Trico Long Distance kept the original quote they provided us, which we really appreciated.Moving itself is already a huge headache, but these guys did their best to help. Luckily, we had already packed everything in boxes, so it only took them a couple hours to load the truck including all furniture and household appliances (TV, dryer, washer, refrigerator). All of our items were handles with extreme care and the team of loaders made it their mission to make sure everything was loaded flawlessly. They provided additional wraps and blankets to assure protection of the stuff during the trip and always kept me in the loop of things. To be honest, I have no idea how they fit everything so perfectly in the truck, but not one item was damaged or missing after they arrived. The truck showed up at our new house before we did! With the help of my mom, the crew unloaded every item in this designed place. no personal property was damaged whatsoever, although the doorways to our old apartment were a little narrow for the furniture.
