I brought in skates to be sharpened for a game today. It was my first time going here and my last. My son got off the ice and was so mad because he couldn't turn well and it took a lot more energy to skate. I brought them down to my usual place and explained what happened without mentioning where I went. They said the skates had no edges and were not sharp at all. When I had gotten home earlier, I had told my wife that the man doing the sharpening seemed disinterested and like he didn't want to be there. I told her I felt really unsure about ever going back and that was before my son even tried the skates. Also, the man was not wearing a mask, which didn't help. We will not be back read more

Years ago, I ordered t-shirts for my students. They were invariably popular and lasted "like iron." Recently, I placed a re-order for the T-shirts, and - once again - they were delivered perfectly and quickly. It was very easy to do business with Tricon. You just can't put a value on good customer service. Even though they're small, they have everything we need. You might be tempted to go to a bigger store thinking Tricon won't have a good enough selection but trust me, they have what you need, the prices are reasonable, and they truly value your business. We drive an extra few miles to go here (there's a Sports Authority very near our house) because I'm tired of being ignored at larger stores or being helped by people who don't understand the nuances of the sport we're shopping for. My two boys play hockey, baseball, and lacrosse and I have never not been able to find what I need at Tricon. They also offer town-themed gear like sweatshirts, hats and bags, which is a nice feature you won't find at the national chains. They do skate sharpening and will also install new cages and visors on helmets, cut down sticks and generally customize what you need. We're lifelong customers! read more

I went to Tricon to get a custom shirt order done. We went through the order, materials and pricing. They said it would take about 1-2 weeks. Ten days later they emailed me to ask "if I still wanted them to do it." ??? While I appreciate them at least being honest with me that they were going to be weeks late, this was lousy service. read more

I like to support local, small businesses and that is why I come here. It does not hurt that everyone and I mean even the "kids" that work here are knowledgeable about what you might need and have had experience because they themselves are athletes but not in a condescending way. We come here for most of my daughter's soccer needs and I do not mind the drive over. If they don't know the answer, there is not answer to your question - it is that simple. read more

Simply excellent. I have been doing business with them for years. The staff is always so friendly, and the ones that haven't been, didn't last long. They are very knowledgeable of the business they are in. Every time I have had them sharpen my skates, they have been perfect. I help out coaching a hockey team, which buys their logo gear through Tricon. In the past, i have got some tshirts made there for my softball team. They came out excellent. I wanted to check out this store after reading the reviews and checking out their website. Before going to work in the area one Saturday afternoon I stopped in. I was looking for some workout gear and maybe some new running shoes that might help with my foot problem I've been having. I'm a big fan of mom and pop type stores because the customer service is usually very good. Usually. Not really sure what the deal was but I walked in looked around for about 5 minutes, was ignored and walked right out. Now I did see staff look at me so they did see me in the store but no one NO ONE approached me to ask if they could be of any help. Again I go to local businesses for the customer service. If I don't get good service (or no service) I will not spend my hard earned money there. They were much more enthusiastic when lunch got delivered. Parking lot is CRAZY! read more

Do NOT do online business with this operation where you can not personally confirm integrity of what you are purchasing. They send incomplete orders and claim that you, the buyer are trying to commit fraud against them when you contact them to resolve the issue. We ordered two sets of hockey blades and we felt only one through the bag it came in (yes, a bag - who ships hockey blades in a plastic bag??). We even videotaped the opening of that delivery bag so that there is no question what we actually got. The guy then has the nerve to turn around and accuse us of premeditated fraud. He should be careful making such slanderous comments against us without doing a background check to know what field we work in. We will clearly be disputing the charges for the second set of hockey blades never received. We will also be filing a BBB complaint, along with other consumer agencies so that this business never pulls this on any other customer again! Try to support a mom & pop store and this is what you get. read more

The staff at Tricon was extremely helpful. I printed custom jerseys here for a bowling league I was in. They helped me pick the shirt and helped me with the design to make sure it printed the best it could. They had the jerseys ready in 2 weeks, earlier than I expected, and they looked great. read more

It would have been a perfect experience: great selection, very nice and helpful salespeople, prompt service. They give you honest advise and are not pushy at all. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the sales lady on floor who took over when the person who was working with me had to leave. Tricon Sports is the best sports shop around. Everyone that works there is extremely helpful. I once showed up 5 minutes after closing to get a last minute skate sharpening and they let me in and sharpened the skates. While he was sharpening my skates he noticed there was something causing my blade to be loose. He stayed 45 minutes after close to fix the skate for me. read more

The customer service is sorely lacking. When in the store I have to seek out help, even if they aren't doing anything and on the phone they are curt and dismissive. I called to check on an order I placed about a month ago and was told the guy who deals with those types of orders wasn't there, but it should arrive the next week. It didn't. He did not ask to take me number and have the guy get back to me. I called today to check on the order again. and the guy told me it went out in the mail last week and should arrive today (said in a brusque tone) and when I hesitantly said o.k. and hadn't gotten another word out of my mouth, he hung up, without even saying goodbye or can I help you with anything else. read more

Drew, Rob and the rest of the guys are first rate. We get all our team equipment and apparel from them. They know their stuff and are always helpful and friendly. Orders are filled quickly, too. I wish they had a larger selection of soccer cleats, however. It's a fun place to visit and they have done a good job of updating the store.
