I have been a patient for some time. I have never had a long wait time. Staff are all friendly and courteous. I love this facility the only thing that is discerning is when you try to reach them by phone. It takes a very long time for someone to answer. I know they are busy so I am grateful that we have them. We should be grateful that they do a good job. Sometimes we have to think about their work and remember that they are human and very busy. We came to get some blood work done at this location on constitution avenue today and there was literally no wait time. It was fast and easy getting in and out of this lab. Parking is very easily accessible. Good for handicapped individuals. The phlebotomist was very good and professional and friendly. read more

Tricore Reference Laboratories - Tricote on West side of building. - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

This was my first time going to this particular Tricore Lab. I wanted to go there because a family member had previously gone and said that their Covid practices were spot on and that the wait was not particularly long. That ended up being true for my visit as well. They are asking folks to socially distance and wear masks. They are also checking temperatures before you enter the building and asking relevant questions. Although the actual blood draw was painless and quick, the time leading up to getting into the actual lab was chaotic. I first checked in at the door to have my temperature taken and was told to take an immediate right which led straight into a wall. I think the person meant left but I know that she told the person in front of me and the person behind me the same information. Once I was inside the building I had to check in again and when I did and was sent to the number two waiting area. It is a TriCore waiting area however it is not located anywhere near the actual lab, which also has a lobby/waiting area. If you've never been to this facility it gets quite confusing because you really don't know where to go. Everybody is too busy to answer a simple question and of course there are lines and lines of people registering for their own medical appointments. I don't fault them for that because it is a very busy location and that's just how it is. All in all it was an OK visit. I do feel they are highly organized when it comes to dealing with Covid however a little more guidance regarding the flow of the clinic might make it easier for more folks...especially the elderly who are a large population at this particle site. read more

Waited for over 20 minutes while the registrars just sat around talking about faxing stuff on their friend's behalf and doing basically nothing, making me late to outpatient rehab. Biggest joke ever! There are over 15 of us waiting to get our labs done and these two girls can't figure out how to do the basic part of their job: help register patients. Give me a needle and I'll draw the blood myself at this point! This is so ridiculous! This has to be the worst location! Of all of them only because of the registrars. Walked in, had my temperature taken, sticker placed on my jacket after the first initial Covid screen. Sign said wait time was 30 minutes and they took my personal information and asked me to wait in my car to be called in. I waited 50 minutes to get a call from the desk person telling me it was my turn. I walked in and was asked by the front desk crew which receptionist # to go to and I told her I didn't know. She sent me over to the lobby and went over to ask the receptionist who paged me. One of them spoke up and said loudly that she told me which number to go to. The phone call I received had issues on her end with several hello's and plenty of background noise. Anyways, I let that one slide, but I thought clearly we weren't off to a real good start. Then she tells me she doesn't see any orders. I understand that this was completely out of her control. She asked for info to contact the facility that needed to issue the orders and then she attempted to reach out. She had a much better attitude with that organization. She performed her job, but seriously, if you don't like what you do and you don't want to be decent to your customer, then maybe it's time to move on. She also let me know I should've called to ensure orders were there. Helpful to know now. Final Vote: I won't return read more

Watch the billing If you pay out of pocket, beware of the billing, They have outsourced to a third party that is not doing them justice. Instead of contracted rates from my insurance company, they charged me the full amount. The difference is about $180. The time before, it was double billing. read more

Any particular reason the hours are not being updated? I know it doesn't seem like any big deal but for many of us patients- particularly the disabled patients who depend on others for rides it is an enormous inconvenience setting up a ride and having to return day after day. I, myself, am already extremely fatigued and in a lot of pain. I have been fighting Stage 4 Cancer for two years now. I am in a great deal of pain, easily exhausted, and cannot drive myself. This seems to be happening so often lately that I have begun to make complaints about it. I wish I could understand why a service business- particularly one who serves sick, hurting people, cannot put a sign on the door about changes being made. It is not only inconvenient but, actually not highly considerate of others. Please, please, PLEASE!!! Consider updating your hours on your website or at the VERY least, put a note on the door that you have reduced your hours so patients can adjust accordingly. The website says you close at 5:00. I drove up to the lab not once but TWICE! The first time was, of course, right at 4:00. I thought that this would be sufficient time and be a considerate thing- not to walk in at the very last minute. The hours on the door said you close at 4:00. The next day, I return at 3:00. The lab was already closed. AGAIN! The gal manning the stations had a nice fake apology and informed us that hours had been adjusted to 3:00. I explained that the door hours posted said 4:00. She shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't work for Tricore-she worked with Presbyterian. Maybe, in spite of that, she could just pass the word on to the Tricare employee who HAS the authority to tape a sign on the door explaining the change? Sincerely, A frustrated patient read more

Helpful and relatively fast though you do have to stand around in a hospital while you're waiting to get your blood drawn which is kind of the downfall. Other than that the employees are always kind and they seem cheerful enough. In a pinch this place does just fine though I prefer my usual blood draw place out in Cedar Crest. read more
