They took her in even before the first scheduled patient arrived so hopefully we will be out of here by eleven Won't know much about the results until Monday when we go back to the Oncologist but she was treated very nicely and even though the procedure is lengthy and uncomfortable she endured getting poked three times to get the IV going and luckily she won't have to do this again

Nice and clean, with it's own, very good sandwich shop (they use Boorehead meat!), and gift shop (tailored to cancer patients). The flatbread turkey with avocado is a winner! The staff that I have encountered in the chemo department are all very professional and nice. The large room is divided into cubicles; each with a television, a plush-comfy chair for the patient, a chair for one visitor, and a small cubby for personal items. The entire building has free wifi. The parking lot is cramped, and since they are very busy, it can be extremely hard to find a parking space! That would be my only complaint (so far). It's not a place you want to visit, and I sincerely hope no one reading this does! Rest assured that you or your loved one will be well taken care of.

They give you a passport with a bar code to check in so during the course of the treatment all you do is scan the pass and the personnel knows you are in the building so the process starts right away. Treatment is scheduled for the same time every day for the entire length of the process. Treatment itself takes a few minutes but the amount of radiation you get is far greater than that at the dentist so time spent at this facility is only about 15 minutes and you are on your way. Like all the other MUSC facilities that are directly related to cancer the personnel working here have an incredible positive attitude and the care and compassion they shine on you make the process go smoothly. I like that there are…read moregreeters at a desk when you first walk in to answer any questions you have, like where a specific doctor office is located. The waiting rooms are quiet and comfortable. I went for a consultation and follow up appointment for a gallbladder surgery with Dr. Clevenger. She was great! She explained everything and answered all my questions. She made me feel very comfortable.
