I just made an açaí bowl at home, and tho it was pretty good, it reminded me that a few weeks ago I had the best açaí of my entire life at Trilha do Açaí. Obviously, going to the growth source of this tasty antioxidant berry is key, but we went to TdA twice in just a handful of days, walking past the donut shop I was dying to try. Y'all if I am passing up pastry, that is a big deal. The employees are friendly, and the menu is creative and fun, so we tried a few things along with the açaí that I cannot recall the name of. The açaí was def the star. On the side, freezers to pick up gallons of açaí to go, and locals popped in to grab their supply. When in Brazil, it's hard to miss that there is Acai being sold everywhere you look. Of all of the acai we had on our trip, Trilha did it best. They have a great selection of juices, iced blends and bowls. I opted for a blend with acai, condensed milk and crushed peanuts (for an added crunch), which was delicious.
