This was the only place we found that was within walking distance from La Rueda or Aqva. I'm sure there may have been another ice cream shop but we didn't see it. This place has a nice setup. They do accept credit cards but not AMEX. The workers here didn't speak much English so you'll have try your best to speak in Spanish to them.
We ordered passion fruit ice cream and dolce de leche con nuez (with nuts). The passion fruit ice cream was interesting. It was more syrup based as opposed to the entire ice cream being made out of passion fruit. It had vanilla and passion fruit "jam/syrup" mixed into the ice cream. There are some seeds, they are very tiny and you can eat through them but be careful. Next time, I would order something else. The dolce de leche con nuez was much better. They used quite a bit of nuts in the ice cream and it wasn't overly sweet.
This is a great place if you don't want to order desserts and the restaurant you were eating at. It's not a very far walk and the street has so many restaurants that it is relatively well lit so it is relatively safe. However, as we were walking here, we did see some families just on the streets with their kids panhandling. read more
