So I went to Wild Roots around the corner and paid HALF. Much easier to schedule with Emily at Wild Roots and my cut and highlights cost about $100. Idk what the issue is with Juniper but I will not be going there again.

With this said, I got very ill, and had to reschedule an appointment. i was on two antibiotics, and let her know 21 hours prior to my appointment. She texted me that I would have to pay for the missed appointment in full prior to rescheduling. I called her, assured her I was very ill, and she got very negative, saying because it wasn't 24 hours I owed her not only the price of the appointment, but her tip- totaling to $225- I told her I was extremely ill ( which I was- five days of being in bed) and she told me she was " done with me" and hung up. I tried to call her back, left a message, and never received a call back. Customers are everything. Also, if that is her policy, she legally needs it posted so no other loyal clients have any questions. Had she called me back, I was loyal enough to not only pay for the missed appointment ( but have given her the usual tip) I understand fully how challenging it is to run a salon with her talent as a solo act. I actually referred several people to her.. yet she chose the low ground. i am very disappointed, as in this businesses climate, I would expect her to be able to understand how having someone so ill would not be someone she wanted in her shop at that time. I actually offered to come in sick because she was so disgruntled. One woman shop. In business for many years. Really sad, very disappointing, and unacceptable in our current environment. I feel the mature and professional thing would have made a point to communicate any issues she had with me, especially after telling me to let her know if I needed anything fixed. The "everytime" is quite the exaggeration....if it were every time I would have already found another stylist. "Sorry for the delay in responding, work has been busy today. I'm dissapointed to hear that you dont like your bangs and color, but I'm not terribly surprised because this happens every time I do your hair. I think the only thing I can do to fix it is to give you your money back so you can find another stylist who can do your hair the way you like it. I'm not upset or mad at you for telling me what you dont like about your hair, I just think that based on the fact that I have had to redo almost everything I've ever done to your hair, that I am not the right stylist for you. Humboldt County has lots of great stylists, I have no doubt that you will find the right one. She did not brush my hair out on all sides before cutting it so the hair that was tucked behind my ear didn't get cut.
