So it doesn't get my five stars, but still four stars because they managed to make something so bad, turn out so good. That is the whole purpose of a hair salon. You are supposed to look much more beautiful walking out than when walking in, though many times recently I find it is the reverse, partially because I have very difficult hair, and partially because I had the misfortune of stylist masquerading behind high prices but no real skill.
I was a bit nervous getting a guy who was a bit on the shy side and didn't speak much English. But don't judge a book by its cover. We still communicated well enough, and most importantly, he told me what each person has done wrong to my hair, how they managed to screw it up, how he will fix it, and what I need to continue doing. He was right on..
I may be of Asian descent, but I do not have your typical dead straight Asian girl hair. Instead, I have Chia pet hair, curly/frizzy that it needs to be straightened and layered off or I will have an Asian super Afro. But Masa, my stylist, gave me a Japanese type of hair cut with great care, analysis, and symmetrical accuracy (after all, this is a Japanese hair salon); which was great. I have received some compliments already on the new hair do in just less than 24 hours!
Lastly, I didn't pay some high price of 200 pounds, but around 45 (excluding tip), which is a good price considering the attentiveness, precision, and style that you will get here. Be forewarned - if you don't like Japanese style haircuts, you should reconsider. Who doesn't though? I always found the Japanese hair styling magazines to have the best styling of haircuts and hair color out there. Like Beastie Boys will say, these people here sure have "the skills to pay the bills". Look no further. I will fly back here from Zurich just to get a haircut and ditch the stylist I go to in NYC.
Two fingers snap up and down! Now come here to look even more beautiful than you are, especially if you have Asian hair (it's more difficult to cut based on texture).
