Even the one with the bad attitude, the one who pooed on the vet because she was mad at me, was met with a smile even though I was totally mortified (though when you go into that line of work, dealing with a bit of cat poo from time to time is probably par for the course). The staff here is very patient and will explain everything that they are doing, why they are doing it, what to expect during future checkups and offer all sorts of advice. They will talk about the temperaments of different animal breeds and how to handle them, they will tell you what kind of food you should buy and where to get it if they don't carry it and they always do a follow up phone call the day after a visit to ensure that your pets are ok after their appointment and vaccinations. Even if this office wasn't located right across the street from me I'd definitely make a point of going there, I'm always really happy with how they treat both my pets and I there. They also hand out treats at the till... well, not for humans, we only get the bill. But that's a small price to pay for having your pets taken care of (plus I can always pick myself up a Slurpee on the way home, right?).

The secretary they have is possibly senile, as after 7 years of 4 visits a year couldn't remember either me or my pet and also confused the names in our records. They also left my partners name on the account after being separated 5 years and me asking to have him removed from the account. My cat died in December of saddle thrombus. He was seen at least annually with no report back as bad heart health. One month after this his brother left grieving was losing hair. He had been seen twice previously with me paying for exam fees, obviously, because he kept scratching his face. They said it was an allergy and I should try changing foods. I tried that a few times with no change, and google said it took two months for the original allergy to subside. My attending vet told me if I decide to get the steroid shots after trying a new diet he wouldn't charge the exam fee. My attending vet wasn't there when I brought him in for the shots and told me management thinks I should find a new vet. This post might sound r/choosingbeggar but it's not. I spent at least $1000/yr being a helicopter cat mom. So aside from them missing a fatal issue with a cat I loved the customer service is awful and the appreciation even worse. Karen? I had no problem remembering your name. What are you even being paid for? Ps I had to get the app to delete a photo I added of me and cat as they were using it to PROMOTE the business and declined to remove it. Park West was the only one that would squeeze her in, despite being booked up. I'm glad we happened upon this clinic, because the vet was amazing. Dr. Finyak was extremely thorough with his examination if our dog and explained everything he was doing step by step. At no point did we feel like he was in a hurry and he took lots of time to answer our questions, even those that weren't particularly about the health issue at hand. We had the results of the tests within 15 minutes, and Dr. Finyak came up with a treatment plan for our dog and showed us how to administer the meds successfully. Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed by the quality of care, attentiveness and affordability of Park West. Although it's significantly further from the clinics nearest to our house, I think we might just switch over to Park West as our primary vet. It's hard to find this quality of service in the city!
