I have been there three times with my family since arriving to Naples in March 2018. So the first time we ate here we got the impression that possibly all the other reviews had to be wrong. We got our drinks in a timely fashion and our food order came out ok. So why am I giving it a negative review now. Well this is based off my last two visits. My second visit we were seated at our table. And that was as far as we made it. After 45 minutes of waiting to place a drink or a food order we gave up and left. I tried to signal the waiter and he said "I know your there" but never came to our table. The third and last time I will ever go into this establishment was just last week. So it was 6:30pm we were seated in a timely manner. We placed our drink orders. Got our drinks and then our waiter never came back. We saw him walk by us but he ignored our table as if we were invisible. So by 7:30 we decided to leave. I stopped at the front cashier and informed the manager, he said the poor service was his fault. But out of sympathy he still made us pay for our drinks. I filled out a comment card and marked all poor service. Also I vowed to never return.

Bambusa - Bruschettone Misto, not the best. A lot going on, was a bit soggy when I got it due to the oils. Tasty but I'd rather not order this again.

Bambusa - Il Filetto, served on fresh sautéed mushrooms, oven baked potatoes with our homemade dressing, small salad and steamed vegetables.

As I start to speak of Terrazza di…read moreLucullo, I don't know whether to start from the experience of dishes tasting or the breathtaking view. The restaurant is located inside the famous hotel Caser Augustus, but luckily you can have lunch or dinner without being a hotel guest. During our stay in Capri, we have been there twice, for lunch and dinner. The first suggestion I can give you, is to arrive earlier than the booking time, and have a refreshing cocktail by the pool, which is the cutest I have ever seen. The menu offers a restrict but refined choice of the Italian and Neapolitan tradition. A special mention for me goes to the bread basket, a highly sought gamma of home made breads, bread sticks and pizzas. The restaurant consists of a terrace perched on the rocks, looking in the direction of the Sorrentine Peninsula and Vesuvius. When you book try to ask for a scenic view table, the panorama will capture your eyesight. We did not know, but it is also possibile to have a private table on a small terrace, where you will have dinner alone, completely isolated from the world and from others! The cost is absolutely worth the experience.

Stomach growling as I was walking down Viale Pasitea (the main thoroughfare in town), multiple good options caught my eye. After some Gmaps searching (sorry Yelp, again limited and some outdated data in Europe!) their beautiful IG-able interior + stellar reviews cinched the decision for me. It's both a restaurant and retail store--the latter carries local ceramics, kitchenware and home decor, many with botanical designs--capturing that quintessential coastal vibe--colors back to white. The former takes up the remaining three-quarters of the white-washed space with about two dozen tables seating about 40-50 people. Live vines hang from parts of the ceiling, pendant lighting fixtures printed with leaf patterns echo the botanical theme from the retail displays. The aesthetic rounds out with tiled floors, light wood furniture, and pillowed banquette seating mixed with individual tables, tying in designs from the home goods store. Food is new Italian--they do carry some traditional dishes though they also have a modern Mediterranean section of the menu that adds non-traditional ingredients or techniques. They also serve a variety of cocktails, fresh-squeezed or blended juices and smoothies, and coffee drinks. Lunch with an entree and drink will run you about €35-40, which is on the higher side though par for the course compared to other similar restaurants along the Amalfi Coast. I ordered the traditional fagioli cannellini, scarola, capperi, olive e calamari gratinati €26 (cannellini beans, escarole, capers, olives and gratinated calamari). This was creamy and tasty even though it had no cheese or cream, the calamari was cooked well, just tender enough, and coated with light breadcrumbs, which I appreciated as it was baked and not deep-fried. Having minimal familiarity with dish, I can only say I thought it was outstanding, good textural contrast, not too salty. Staff was the right amount of attentive without being overbearing, and though their English was limited, they strove to answer my questions on ingredients in a few of the dishes. The restaurant was pretty busy during lunch, but I never felt rushed. Loved the atmosphere and food here, would certainly recommend!
