I love this place so much. They are all so sweet and do great nails. I had broken a nail from jamming into the wall and they got me in when i called and fixed it very quickly and fast. This review is not based on services because I left this establishment without being helped. I walked in, stood for 2-3 minutes at the door staring at the back of the only person working there while she gave a pedicure. The lady getting a pedicure said hi to me while the employee didn't greet a waiting customer. It was not busy inside either. One person being served. Got tired of waiting to be acknowledged or even greeted so I turned around and left. read more

I came to this salon because it had such great reviews.  I was extremely disappointed when my mom and I got our pedicures done.  First, most of the regular polish was dried out, then they did not clean under and around the nails.  Once we got our nails painted, and we got to the car we were able to look at them more clearly, you could see all the imperfections, how uneven our nails were filed and how uneven the nail polish was.  They said it would take 6-8 hours for regular polish to dry, okay never heard that before but I was optimistic.  About 2 hours later all my nails had air bubbles in the nail polish. It looked terrible.  My mom and I ended up just taking the nail polish off and redoing them ourselves.  I called the next day and I assumed I talked to Trine, I asked for a refund because I did not want them to do my nails again.  She said "well with regular polish that tends to happen, it will bubble up" umm, every other nail salon I have been at, I have never had this problem. I asked for a refund and she said "she can re-paint them and give me gel" I do not like gel on my toenails because it is extremely hard to take off and regular nail polish works just fine for my mother and I.  So anyway, save yourself and expensive pedicure and go to Daqueen nails.  They are cheaper, cleaner,  way more professional and you will be satisfied. I guess thats what we get for trying something new. I would give this zero stars if I could. Waste of money read more

I live in San Diego and was visiting family. I had very little time left in town and needed to get my nails done for an event back in Califorina. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find anyone experienced, clean and creative. I yelp searched and Trine did not have a lot of reviews but I loved all her pictures. She squeezed me in and I was so happy. She was very nice and seemed to make everyone feel at home and like family. She was very clean and sanitary which of course made me so happy. She was quick, detailed and did a really nice job on my fill and gel polish. She was so cautious and repeatdly asked if she was hurting me which she wasn't but I loved that she cared haha. What I asked for vs. what I got with and without flash. DO NOT go to Trine's Nail Creations and Hair. When I was finished with the stylist I told her "this looks more like ombré" and she said "ombré and balayage are like the same thing" Ummm no, it is absolutely not. I left, went home for two hours and my whole family and several friends told me there was no way I should pay for something so far off from what I asked for. When I asked for a refund I was told that they don't do refunds and I would have to have the same stylist continue to dye my hair until it looked how I wanted. I obviously didn't want someone who doesn't know the difference between balayage and ombré to ever touch my hair again. I was told that because I dyed my hair with box hair (over a year ago) that I should have known my hair would only pull "warm tones" and I would not get the colors I wanted. When I asked why the entire bottom half of my hair looked this brassy orange color instead of just where the highlights were supposed to be, she said she "did the balayage technique but it must've all pulled the color." And then she chuckled because apparently she thought this was all funny or I'm just stupid. If I wanted my hair done so terribly I would have stayed home and had my six year old cousin do it. I refuse to have someone who did such a terrible job touch my hair again. I am having my hair fixed by another salon as I type this and when my new stylist rinsed my hair out there was a large amount of hair dye that was never rinsed out. Why would I want to have Trine's salon do it again??? They did such a bad job. All around the most horrible salon service I have ever experienced. read more
