While his mastery and passion demonstrate what is possible for the human form, he cues the class in a way that is encouraging to beginners and builds on foundational movements; it truly feels like, and is, a class for any body. His lighthearted personality brings a sense of playfulness to the entire experience. One of the older reviews mentions a dungeon-like atmosphere and carpet... the current studio is beautiful, bright, and clean with natural hardwood floors. No showers available and only a single bathroom- the only reason I'd rate it 9.5/10 stars.

I have always had good experiences with any teachers here, but I must shout out Shemaia for her teaching methods in particular as hers is the class I attend most frequently. She melds together an active and yin practice so beautifully and really encourages us to do things in our practice that will help us age gracefully which I really appreciate. Of course you can't go wrong with any of the other teachers either, Peggy is an icon, Geneva brings the most juicy yin classes and Brother V's tea class is the only one of its kind around.

I had tried everything; massage, chinese cupping, chiropractor, acupuncture, myofascial release, herbs, dietary changes, western medicine and still was suffering everyday. I scheduled a private consult with Robyn and in our very first session, not only was I was completely relieved of pain, she was able to restore range of motion in my neck and best of all, she taught me how to maintain my pain free status with exercises I could do at home. After a couple more 1:1 visits I was able to start exercising again so naturally I began attending yoga classes at Inner Freedom Yoga. I love the Anusara style of yoga that they teach, their focus on proper alignment, the use of props and the way they help everyone to feel comfortable no matter your prior experience with yoga, or lack there of. I enjoy both of these instructors very much. Robyn is tender, her approach is restorative and and I can transition into poses with ease. Patrick's Tuesday night class has definitely pushed me out of my comfort zones for growth, and he is very sweet and supportive. I would recommend anyone to this wonderful space and take advantage of the great teachers and programs our community has to offer. The center offers mats, blankets, blocks and straps for anyone who doesn't have equipment. Music usually is lightly playing while the class is going, which I enjoy. You get private access to an entire enclosed area that includes a large traditional sauna, two claw-foot soaking tubs, and a rock-floored outdoor shower. It came with everything you could think of, from mud bath mix to a variety of homemade soaking salts, to the fluffiest white towel, a sarong, cooling washcloth, tea selection, and fresh filtered water. The price was extremely reasonable, it was very clean, and we were the only folk there. If I lived here, I'd use it at least twice a month. Fantastic, small town, true Northern California experience.
