Friends, my original post on this clinic was very happy and grateful. I had really liked their…read moreservices and was glad to celebrate their good work in the community. Yeah! But then, I got a bill. Without going into details (this is healthcare !), I had come here several times for something and been told I was "ok for the sliding scale," and was asked to just pay a $20 copay. I asked several times about an application, should I fill one out? How do I know I am ok for the sliding scale? And was told by the receptionist that "everything is ok, you're good." Well, alright. I guess. The services otherwise were ok and I appreciated the 'sliding scale' fee. But when I called about the bill - whoa! Apparently yes I did have to fill out an application and no, I had never been given one. So, now because of this (ahem) oversight on the part of the receptionist, all my payments for the previous two months were due and came to over $1500. I would never have come if I was going to be charged that amount, but I did come because I could afford the lowered payments. The billing office stated that since I had never filled out the application, I was now responsible for all previous charges and there would be no back coverage for any application I would fill out. They were not willing to consider that their own receptionist did not give me an application even when I asked several times to fill one out. Surprisingly, there was no apology for their oversight either. So, come here at your own risk and be prepared. PS - I fought this bill all the way to the CFO of the company, who was very angry and irritated with my 'bothering all her employees.' Wow! She was willing to cut the bill in half and didn't seem to understand why I was still so angry. I should be grateful for all she had done for me, right? Double wow! The fact that her employee's error had cost me a great deal of money and now I had to pay over inflated medical prices did not seem to register. Great way to build community relations, and encourage people to use your services.

The experience we didn't want - when our son was suddenly having difficulty breathing. Mixed bag here, as there were amazing CNAs and RNs, as well as terrible ones, with not much between. Some were great about checking in, explaining procedures & meds, plus verification of the correct person. On the flip side, one RN walked in and said "here" as he handed over a med cup, then turned around & left. What the What? On to the doctors, specifically Dr Elliott who, without a doubt, saved our sons life with a fluid drain from the heart & is providing excellent cardiovascular care after release. (In addition to whoever initially treated him by tapping his chest to drain the fluid surrounding his lungs straight away) All in all, we are thrilled with the outcome.

They did the bare minimum told me I was constipated.. and sent me on my way. Short version of my story.. but it wasn't just me. A man that had a broken pelvis, all the nurses at the nurses station were making fun of him??? I mean how disgusting. People come to yall for help and you're over there laughing at the fact he had a split fractured pelvis?!? Next day I woke up with a terrible fever. And the pain had not subsided.. so I went to Sanford walk in.. they got me comfortable enough to ride down to Bismarck.. my vitals were so awful that they put me ahead of everyone else that was in the ER. Shortly after i was assessed here at Sanford. i was almost immediately admitted to the hospital. They have been on top of my pain management, reducing my fevers that keep coming back, and trying to get to the bottom of the issue.. I'm still here but at least I'm halfways comfortable and they're trying to help me! Everyone always asked me why i birthed both my children here.. here is one example. Trinity sucks Sanford is better. PERIOD.

I arrived at 3:20 and was turned away by Dr Ibrahim and whoever his nurse is. After I sat in the waiting room for 15 mins filling out paperwork and then got turned away. I normally would understand being late and having to re-schedule. However this is not a routine physical this is Oncology where things need to handled with a little extra care. being 20 minutes late and being turned away from care does not make me too confident that I will get great care at Trinity Cancer Center especially Dr Ibrahim. I would rather drive to Bismarck or Fargo to get care anywhere else that The Minot Cancer Center. I have never been turned away from care before until today. Very disappointed with Trinity and Dr Ibrahim. I will be seeking care from anyone else besides Trinity. I've heard great things about care here and this is not my experience.

It's not only crappy business practice, it's dangerous. When confronted they tried to lie their way out and make insane excuses ... absolutely zero remorse, zero responsibility taken, and zero respect. You absolutely are rushed in and out and feel like just another dollar sign after check-in. She has taken on Way more than she can handle to give truly good care. All of my appointments with Cim or her nurses were insanely rushed and I wouldn't call being given incorrect medication not once, but twice (plus being billed incorrectly) quality care. That would be the complete opposite in fact. Cim and I DID have a conversation face to face in her office immediately after about my experiences and the multiple chances I gave them and it was like talking to a brick wall. She did not care what I had to say then, and the way she talked to me and treated me, I do not care what she would have to say now because it would be completely faked. I would not recommend her place to absolutely anyone!

It gets a bit weird as the main floor you enter on is considered the 2nd floor (walk-in clinic) & to get to the 1st floor (radiology), you take the elevator down. Katie was the gal who tended to my mammogram. She was great at explaining what she was doing & why. She was also very apologetic for the inevitable discomfort that comes with this kind of appointment & kept it to a minimum... still better than an underwire- sigh.
