I retained this attorney in April 2025 for both my divorce matter and my PFA. During the two months I was her client, she made no filings none. She was aware that my personal belongings including my birth certificate, Social Security card, passport, tax documents, graduate school textbooks, and my cap and gown as a graduating student remained inside the marital home. She did not request a civil standby so I could retrieve them. She did not attempt to modify my PFA. She did not attempt to return me to the marital home. She did not fully advise me of my legal rights as a spouse in Pennsylvania. I came to her as a woman with a PFA, trauma, shock, displaced from her marital home in a state I had been intentionally relocated to by my estranged husband. She had the legal knowledge and capacity to intervene. She chose not to. In addition, my experience within the York County Judicial system raised serious concerns about how systems operate for individuals from marginalized racial backgrounds. The patterns I encountered both within the courthouse and in my interactions with legal professionals reflected disparities in responsiveness, support, and equal access to due process. While I cannot speak to if she was a part of any specific affiliations or networks within the area until further analysis, I can say that my civil rights and due process were not upheld in the way they should have been. I terminated her services on May 28, 2025, due to inaction. I will continue to update this review as more information becomes available.
