FIRST, the tech misread (as I later found out) my echocardiogram making both my primary doctor and I think I had a seriously major heart problem. SECOND, after waiting well over half an hour past my appointment time in the room (my time's valuable too, thank you very much), Dr. Sobieraj doesn't even care enough to hear my medical history and keeps talking over me when I try to explain things, tells me that the tech misread the echocardiogram in such a way that totally threw the tech under the bus, then says I need to be on an ACE inhibitor. Then when I tell him that I'm in stage 2 renal disease (which if he'd bothered to listen to me in the first place or review my medical history would know), he said that nephrologists always overrate kidney issues and he'd never know I had a kidney problem by my bloodwork (nevermind that I've spent over 20 years with various diet, medicines, and treatments to get my renal panels to look this good). When I balked at his reccomendation, he became rather irritated and even less personable than he had been before (if that's possible), and that was pretty much the end of any useful conversation. THIRD, when because of a reduction in income due to COVID I had problem paying the full bill for the botched echocardiogram and useless less than 5 minutes with Dr. Sobieraj, I called and made a partial payment and was never told that I was going to be turned over to collections anyway. Guess what, I'm paying off bills with people who are willing to work with me. When every single bill I have elsewhere is paid off completely in full, then I'll consider paying them the balance I owe (good luck with that). read more
