I've been here for a few years in the 90's for there fall festivals i don't know why it took me so long to come back! Had 3 bands playing Saturday we saw the end of the 1st and the second one very good band Black Widow! Had many venders from spices, cookies and cupcakes, candles they were great me and my daughter got some candles and melts from them was called Morning Wood! ,clothes and jewelry, I got a crystal from one vender my daughter got a Buffalo Bill's floor mat for her father for Christmas she also had very pretty coasters we both got one ! Handmade blankets, wooden cutting boards. They had a wine slushy truck and a whole area for wine slushy and beer there too . And can't forget the cannabis spot with edibles. They have a gazebo area that had tables for eating or drinking saw many tables that had bottles of wine they were enjoying outside! They had chiavettas chicken dinners with 2 sides for 17 dollars my daughter got a great looking cheeseburger and got a bud light for 6 dollars. After that we made our way to taste some wine we tried the Edelweiss white sweet grape tastey wine so my daughter bought a bottle for home and also she had 2 glasses of this warm wine called Mereo it was amulled wine with clove, cinnamon and lemon flavors she had something like it before so had to get a bottle of that to go also. The wine area was a little crazy but came back before we left to purchase the 2 bottles when it died down. Over all it was a great afternoon great food, wine ,music, booths brought home some great stuff! I won't wait another 30 years for this great September Festival Thank You Merrit Winery

This isn't just a wine supply store. They have a huge pick-your-own cherry orchard!…read more For many years now, I have been going here with my wife and her family. It's an Independence Day tradition. I know Walkers is known nationwide for their wine juice, but the cherry orchard is vast and not to be discounted. Aside from the one year that the Amish showed up and bought the entire harvest, there is always good pickings here. Around Independence Day weekend, the trees are bountiful, especially the sours. Between the four of us, we came out with 43 pounds last year. We reigned it in and only took 27 pounds this year. We eat them fresh or freeze them to make pies throughout the year. And like all respectable farm stands, there are bored teens working the booth. It's good wholesome fun. Long Live Walkers. Pro Tip: Know that the pitting machine will only get 50% of the pits, so don't put the cherries straight into a pie. You'll need to do your own pitting run when you get home.

Believe me, it would be easy to get impatient with us, because, while we are really nice people, we invariably get 10 varieties of juice (or more!) in 2 dozen 5-gallon carboys. It takes a while to write up our order, and quite a while to fill the carboys. Everyone is always really cheerful and they even joke around with us! Along with juices, the Walkers have fruit (baskets of grapes, apples etc), honey from their bees, and delicious fudge in 8 or so varieties! But don't ask what's in their juice blend for rose wine. It's a family secret! :) Oh, and they even ship their juice via UPS. IMPORTANT: Remember to bring cash or a check because they don't accept credit/debit cards.

A small town winery with 2 locations (one in Barker and one in Chaffee, NY). I received a $25 gift…read morecertificate at a basket raffle, so I decided to make the drive out to Chaffee to sample some wines and buy a couple bottles . A tasting of 7 wines (or one of their own ciders ) is $7 , so I opted to do that . Sadly these were served in plastic cups , that is easy cleanup, but takes away from the whole experience, IMO . I liked all of them to a degree, but my favorites were the sparking wine and the cherry wine . I ended up only paying about $15 after the certificate for 2 bottles and the tasting - prices are fair . Grounds are cute as well , they do have events from time to time . Not very busy at noon on a Saturday - but staff was nice and eager to help me . Not a winery that blew me away , but I had a good experience there and would return .

It's a nice little drive so be prepared! I like that Savage offers guest wines and ciders in their tastings. You can do beer tastings too as they have a nice array of taps available. The vibe is small town friendly. All current protocols are being followed. There is an area of outside seating if preferred and weather permitting. Everyone we encountered had a smile on-through masks of course. It seemed like the local growler fill hub on this Saturday afternoon. The sad thing this time, only chickens were out. No goats or alpacas. We were left questioning a design on a wine glass... owl, cat or devil?

There are beautiful manicured grounds with fruit trees around the spacious winery that has lots of seating options (we took our tasting flight at the bar). There is plenty of free parking in their lot. Bathroom was clean. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by their friendly staff who answered all of my questions about the local grapes and wines. We enjoy dry whites and reds. They did not disappoint. It was clear that they take pride in their excellent product. Every wine we tried was high-quality and we ended up taking several bottles home. We can't wait to return here on our next visit!

There is an outside area with a kind of farm market, then the main building. The building is pretty large. There was a wedding that was scheduled that afternoon and 1 area was off limits. The main building was fine. We went up to the bar area to try. They have beer, cider, slushies, and wines. Lots to choose from. They also have some food. We drank but did not try the food. Christine our bartender was very nice and accommodating. We are a group that is split. We like sweet and dry. I am on the sweet side. It's 3 tastings for $5. So we picked the raspberry and the 2 ice wines. All 3 were delicious. The raspberry was like eating a raspberry. Kinda tart and sweet. The ice wines were winners as well. A few of the girls bought some bottles and we had a glass and sat outside. Now it was a hot day. In the low 80's. The large room in the main building was hot. They have fans on the ceiling but we found out they did not work. The place was crowded and those fans needed to work. Just to circulate the air. It was hot and sticky inside. They have a porch area and we took our glasses outside. Slushies were perfect cuz it was so hot. Overall good experience. Fix the fans and it be a bit better.
