Cute local winery. We stopped by on our way through the area. We made a reservation ahead of time just as a precaution. During covid the winery is doing a lot to keep everyone safe. There are sand sanitizer stations at the front door for everyone to use upon entering. There is indoor reduced capacity and bar stools are spaced out. No outdoor seating when we were there. The indoor space isn't too big but the tasing shouldn't take anyone very long. Definitely good to call ahead for a reservation in case it's busy. Everyone must wear a mask until they are seated and the staff wears them as well. There are plexiglass shields at the bar as well. There were a lot of wine options to choose from. I am not usually a huge NY state wine fan but I found a few that I liked and even found some to take home. There are enough options that there is something for everyone. There are 2 tasting options for $3 and $5 which include some generous samples and a snack to cover the current food requirement. The $5 option includes a glass to take home. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend coming. Good wines, and beautiful grounds. read more

Last week, on a beautiful sunny day in September, we decided to visit the Willow Creek Winery and now looking forward to returning soon. It was a perfect day to sit outside and enjoy it all! Food was great, loved looking out onto the vineyards while sipping on a glass of wine, or two. I just have to mention, Dylon! It was really a pleasure having him as our server! He had lots of knowledge and guided us into trying particular wines, which were a hit, all while being very personable and so good at his job! I was very disappointed in the treatment that my group received from this winery our day had already started off Rocky. We had problems with the bus that were beyond our control, so it threw us behind in our schedule when we arrived at this winery the people literally came out and stopped us at the door, they talked to us through the door as if we were some sort of criminals. I sponsored a bus full of teachers and other professionals who work hard and deserve a nice time and the treatment from this place was the worst I have received from any place in years, I understand they may have had another bus coming, but we were there, it would have made sense at least on a business level to take us. We were there to spend money, but it was more than obvious. They did not want it. When we were there, it looks like there were only two people at the bar so you would think it would have made sense for them to take us ,I hope their other bus didn't even show up. I definitely will not buy any liquors made by this company that sold at a liquor store nor at any other wine events that I see them at and they never ever have to worry about myself or any of my friends trying to visit their establishment again.. now if you're looking for friendly service and yummy wine, I would advise you to go down the road to Woodbury. The staff there was was excellent. Also, I'm very upset that I have to give them any stars. They deserve none. read more

After noting the strong ratings for willow creek winery, I had to add my comments regarding a recent experience on Easter Sunday. My son recommended the winery after we discovered that our usual choices were already booked. We were not thrilled with the $50 base cost of the three course menu, but decided that it was a worthwhile 1 hour trip to have Easter Brunch with my son and his significant other. When we arrived we were pleased to be seated immediately at the time of our reservation. we were also pleased with the ambiance. The dining room was large and noisy, but to be expected for a holiday meal, and the tables were spaced comfortably. Regarding the service, it left much to be desired. There were large waits between any service, including greeting us and taking our drink order. The waitress took our menu choices for the first two courses at the time of taking our drink order, which should have improved service time, however we waited forever for each course. Our mimosa type drinks were good but quite expensive, for being served at a winery. The yogurt parfait was actually wonderful, and my meal companions rated the bisque as good. Unfortunately we waited, and waited, with the waitress never stopping to check in on us. After waiting forever again for the main course, this was generally abysmal. Two of us ordered the traditional dinner course and the other two ordered breakfast type meals. My future daughter in law (I hope) said that the omelette was very good. My son had the Eggs Benedict with shrimp. The hollandaise sauce was congealed and the shrimp was cold and watery leaving water running into the English Muffin, which was under toasted and hard to cut. The traditional dinner plates were the worst. The ham was okay but too little for my husband and the pineapple glaze was thin, plain, and unworthy of a holiday meal. There was a good sized serving a whole green beans, unfortunately, over salted and not otherwise dressed for a holiday meal. The potatoes dauphoise were formed into a muffin pan shape and dried out, loosing the rich, cheesy texture. The entire meal was cold and lackluster in presentation. I have had much more attractive meals served in a dinner. Too add insult to injury, we waited again forever for the check and then for our waitress to take our card. We would have waited even longer if a member of our party hadn't stopped the waitress going by our table with no acknowledgement during the check out process. Never again.... read more

Above all the biggest take away from being here is how relaxing and great you feel and that's before you start enjoying the wine. I'm hesitant to write a review about this place because I want to stay one of those "Hidden Gems" it's too good not to talk about. I was a bit disappointed in this place - there was a trail special going on and though we didn't have tickets - they sold them there, but never even offered us any to buy! Beautiful place This is a lovely place on a back country road. They have a little lake and an island with a gazebo and hold several special events and weddings. The wines are named for local places like Aunt Millie's which is a well know local restaurant. They are varied and good. They have a couple of interesting chocolate wines that are great to try and especially nice for gifts. We've visited several times and always have been treated very well.
