As the photos show, sod was laid directly over existing grass in several areas, and in other places it was laid right over gravel and rocks that were supposed to have been removed first. The landscape edging I paid to have installed is leaning in multiple areas and the butt joints were not connected in any way and already separating. At the end of the job, I asked George why some of the new sod was sitting noticeably higher than the existing lawn, and he told me it would settle. After I later found sod laid directly over old grass and gravel, he told me this was normal and part of "their process" ... that they lay sod over existing grass and that it would smooth out in the spring. That explanation was proferred when I discoved sod had been laid directly on top of a large section of gravel by a tree that was meant to be removed and he said they lay sod right on top of gravel too. He cut some irrigation wires, a water line, and covered a couple of sprinkler heads with the new sod, which I discoved the next morning after he was done when I noticed the sprinklers weren't working. I called and texted him, and while he read my message, he did not reply. Our irrigation guys - real pros - came out and fixed it for me. Shame on me for rushing my inspection as it was getting dark. The parts of the install I was not satisfied with were not readily apparent until I had to start troubleshooting the irrigation the next day. A few example pictures attached. Some of the work he did was okay, some of it was really bad. I tried to reach an agreement with him about the parts I was not satisfied with but he maintained this work was quality/okay. His pricing was not exorbitant but not cheap by any means. Definitely not a good value given the quality level. If you use George, I would inspect the work *very carefully* and be ultra explicit about site prep.

The work was excellent. At one point the workers clipped an unmarked internet line. We were told immediately and they even went so far as to put in a temporary fix. They then offered to pay for the service call, again this wasn't even their fault, the line was unmarked. When one of our plants died a month later, they came out and replaced it free of charge, which apparently doesn't happen with other companies.
