After 12 incredible years of being part of this family in many aspects, I can honestly say it is a place like no other . The owners are the sweetest guys and truly care for each and every student. They are great communicators and the admin process is simple and organized. The studio is safe to drop off your kids for hours on end , the kids will make everlasting friendships & learn valuable life lessons. My daughter has loved all her teachers and valued their expectations and standards to make her the best she can be. She thrived in the classroom due to her time management skills, juggling her education and Dance. I would highly reccomend trying the summer classes if you don't know where to start. TTPA has given us so many wonderful memories, not just because of the incredible training but because of the heart and care behind it. The studio is a place where our daughter was truly seen, supported, and encouraged. Brian has had a lasting impact on her. I can't believe it's the start of my daughter's fourth season at TTPA! What an amazing journey it's been to watch her develop beautiful technique and deepen her love of dance over the past few years. Every week she takes multiple ballet classes, jazz technique, lyrical technique, tap technique and acro--all which are included in my monthly tuition. (The competition team rehearsals are included in the monthly tuition as well.) The directors expose the dancers to award-winning choreographers from all over the country. The dances they produce are true works of art. The studio lobby is filled with thousands of trophies from competitions, however, the dancers themselves never rest on their last performance. The culture at TTPA fosters hard-work, balanced student life and humility--by far, the best dance curriculum in the entire east bay. read more

This place is amazing! My daughter is an older dancer, she's currently 13 and she spent ages 8-12 at Tiffany's. The two studios have very different environments, TDA(Tiffany's Dance Academy) was a very recreational studio, most students took a class a week and did other sports like soccer or softball. When my 12-year-old moved to TTPA(Triple Threat Performing Arts) she was behind! The minis we stretching into oversplits and did beautiful turns. We were super overwhelmed at first but the ladies at the front desk will dedicate so much time and energy to you. My daughter immediately started taking multiple classes a week and we were so sad we didn't find this studio sooner! She started in April with practically no dance experience compared to the other girls and immediately got better. She started semi-comp in August, which is in between recreational and full competition. She is attending her first competition in March and is prepared. She went from not doing a turn to nailing doubles and will probably get her splits before summer! The environment is great! Every dancer there works hard and most are full-comp. They give 100% in their tech and team rehearsals. The moms just wait there, bringing dinner and chairs and their little ones. The moms are super friendly! There is plenty of seating and good wi-fi. Very safe, I feel comfortable leaving her here for hours The front receptionists are amazingly nice. Go on a Friday to ask about classes, the studio is the least crowded and the nicest lady, Kim is there. She is the sweetest and will explain. Avoid going on Tuesdays, it's the busiest day. The teachers are amazing! Bill, the head Jazz teacher has improved my daughter a ton. My daughter hasn't taken many classes with Brian or Tammy but likes them. She's in love with the hip hop teachers Shauna and Inez, and enjoys taking classes with Adrianne. My daughter hopes to take full comp next year. My only regret is not hearing about this place sooner. Wow! I love this place. My daughter came here, previously, from a nasty studio. This is a huge upgrade! The studio itself is large. There are maybe 8 rooms with 2 floors. There is so much seating and comfort. I can leave my daughter here for hours, and she will do homework on the breaks and eat food and chat with her friends. The wifi is great so she can work on her assignments, and she often orders food to eat. They have 2 receptionists. Kim, the blonde, is so sweet and she's our favorite. She explains things amazingly and is so accommodating. I would suggest coming in on Thurs/Fridays to speak with her and she will explain everything. The other receptionist, Tamy, I believe, is OK. She does have a "don't care" attitude but still gets things done. She doesn't explain it that well, so try to avoid coming here on Mon/Tues for your first visit. I've got to say, though, their rec program is a scam. Every studio is. They give student teachers the job to teach the recreational classes, and they are less experienced and seem more like babysitters than teachers. The recital is also a crazy and complete money-making scam. However, their comp programs are stellar. Their semi-comp is perfect for first-years who have danced but want to step it up. They attend 3 competitions and are great. You can adjust the times to come in on one day, or multiple days. I do want to add, their semi-comp is slowly turning into their rec program. They are replacing the teachers with student teachers, but they do choreograph amazing competition pieces. I still would like them to get some of the professional teachings. Their full comp program is mind-blowing. Every student is determined and focused, 100%. They have an amazing work ethic and stretch in every corner of the studio, and stay in the studio for hours every day. They work hard in every class and every teacher who teachers them is super experienced and pushes them. My daughter improved greatly. They attend 5-6 comps a year and win a LOT of awards. They are usually one of the biggest studios at regional comps. The technique is amazing, and you can tell the teachers care a lot. Pricing. The pricing is way less compared to other studios, however, dance is always expensive. A class is about 55 dollars, but less if you do multiple. The comp fees are 50 per dance, per comp, which does add up. A solo choreographing fee ranges from 900 dollars. Overall, I highly recommend this studio to comp dancers as the work culture is amazing and I feel safe with my daughter here. She has improved greatly. The only downside is that they don't care about their rec/semi comp students as much, which is understandable, as they don't bring in wins, or money. read more

I've been pretty disappointed with my daughter's experience here. She's in a 3/4 year old combo class and while the format of the class started out ok, it's now solely focused on their dance. There aren't really any fun elements to this class like other studios have for this age - no little warm up songs/dances or props. For the past almost 3 months now they have spent the entire 45 min class just working on the dance, which is slightly advanced for this young group. I can understand drilling the dance constantly for a month or so before recital, but it's still 3 months away. The don't warm up and they haven't worn their tap shoes since November. My daughter is pretty bored in the class now and ends up spacing out and not participating towards the end. A few kids have dropped from the class in the last 2 months and I think we will as well. We'd try another teacher but the times are too early for me to get my daughter to class after work, and we heard a horror story about one of the other teachers of this age so I'm not very motivated to try to leave work early to get there. This studio has such a great reputation for the competitive team and developing good technique but this is a beginner rec class and should be more fun and relaxed. I grew up dancing and taught this age group so I know it can be challenging and that it's important to change things up and keep them interested. It shouldn't just be about the recital performance, just drilling the dance over and over isn't going to foster a love of dance, especially at this young age. Now this week with a whole costume ordering confusion I am really frustrated with how her teacher handled it and I think we won't even finish the year here. Maybe when she's older and if she wants to pursue competitive dance then we'll try again (with a different teacher). read more

We're a recent convert over to TTPA, and perhaps it's the boy thing, the dad thing, or the fact the little one is barely three years old, so the object of the game should be fun, darn it. And so far, the TTPA experience has been just that for us and her alike. The office staff are polite and helpful, and while the faces in the office rotate during the day and week, there's consistently someone in there that can answer the questions and that sort of thing. (It seems it's where the teachers are when they're between classes, but unlike a few past experiences, it's not simply an empty desk or one staffed by someone whose go-to answer is "I don't know." -- here, they know.) There are a handful of little ones in her class, which is key -- we've learned long ago that a class of just her goes poorly (particularly in cases where the teacher is willing to flex their curriculum to her whims, which is exactly what she doesn't need at this age). The other little girls in her class are at an equal skills level, so they all seem to take turns being completely clueless about what they're practicing, but in a cute way. They also have an annual/season show. Honestly, I'm perched on the fence with these. Yes, it's a cute way to showcase what they've been doing and you've been paying for each month for the past year. That I get. And some desire to have the class match also makes sense. Here, I appreciate a few differences with the performance (which I've come to accept, though not perhaps fully embrace). First, the costume/outfits can be procured without Congressional mandate; in the past place, you had to order 6+ months in advance, and golly, kids grow. Not ideal, and their vendor wasn't keen on having to take something back and alter or replace (again, kids seem to grow given our weird obsession with feeding them regularly). Second, the tickets. Here, there are two tickets for mom and dad to go to the show WITH the costume. Makes sense; if I just paid $70 for an outfit for a performance, I appreciate it's not an additional cost -- complete with online ticketing inconvenience fee -- to see my tot flounder across the stage with other tots doing the same thing. (And if grandma and grandpa want to come, then yes, I'm cool with that being an extra cost, since it's more seats... but let's face it, they're retired, she's cute, so they'll spend a few bucks on the look-see). Third, they apparently get something at the end. Their name on a t-shirt, a plaque/trophy, whatever it is... but *something.* It's not like the outfit will be something they'll cherish and put on the shelf, but a personalized t-shirt (genius in marketing, ain't it?), or a little shelf decor goes a long way with the little ones who are still thrilled by the baubles and trinkets the rest of us throw in the corner of our desk and dust every few months. read more

Triple Threat is awesome! Over the past four years, my daughter has danced and competed with a different studio in Fremont and during competition Triple Threat was the studio to beat. When the inevitable move was to be made, there was only one place to go. My first impression of the studio was a feeling of respect from teachers, parents and students alike. The studio is large and clean,! The teachers are trained choreographers! The website is updated regularly! It's a complete and welcome change of pace for us and we are excited to see what this competition season brings on! read more

After a bruising at the school across town (fees, charges and still cruddy service with all the recital drama), I took my 3-year-old here to check out the classes as a new home. Love it! The instructor uses the mirror to face the same direction as the students, so they're not trying to learn the mirror imagery of moves. There's tons more kids in the class, their recital costs are comparable, but include two parent tickets, a t-shirt and trophy for participating, and probably my favorite -- any dance-appropriate apparel is acceptable for practice. Just for not being stuck in a mandated sea of pastel pink toddlers, I'm in! read more

I like the fun atmosphere here but classes are fairly disorganized and for the little kid combo class they are sitting and waiting their turn more than dancing. The hip hop teacher here is great though. But she will admit she doesn't like teaching the younger students. read more

I was a dance mom for 18 years and now am a dance grandma to a 3 year old who is currently taking dance lessons are TTPA. I am so impressed with the calibre of dance AND especially the closeness of the parents, teachers and students. Students are taught good sportsmanship and teamwork. What these students are taught to do is truly amazing. Have never seen anything like it. Whoever that "Monica" person is who wrote that awful review seems to have and axe to grind and is just plain jealous. Perhaps her daughter wasn't placed where the "mom" wanted her to be placed. Some dance moms think they know more than the teachers. There are LOTS of studios that only think of winning at all costs, but this is not one of them. I hope my grand-daughter stays with this studio forever. They are simply the best. read more

Over the summer my grand daughter took the dance for free classes and she had a great time. I will say that the classes were largely impacted but the teachers seemed to handle it fine and hey, it was free! The dance studio is huge and as I watched older kids in the other room, I could tell that they really trained hard and had a great core environment for the kids to grow on. Everyone that worked for them seemed nice and informative (i guess though they are going to be because they want you to sign up) but it worked for us and my grand daughter has started taking classes this monthly. My daughter has been dancing with the teachers at Triple Threat for 13 years. It is a great dance studio ,not only for competitive dancers, but recreational dancers also. They have classes for ages 2 - adult. Many different styles and teachers to choose from. I love that they bring in master teachers and choreographers from all over USA to expose the students to different styles and experiences. My daughter has taken classes in NY and LA at the big dance centers several times and each time they have told her to let her teachers know they are doing a great job, I feel confident that she has received great training. read more

My children have really enjoyed their workshops and camps for the past couple years and are now ages 18, 15, and 10. My son, who was extremely shy in public, actually landed a major role in local theater at his very first audition! This type of thing does not happen very often but with the experiences and skills learned through Shawn and John along with other industry professionals, he became a very outgoing kid on stage! read more

I am a student at TTPA and I love it more than anything. Over the last few years I have improved so much with the help of the wonderful teachers. All my teachers push me to be the best I can be and help me accomplish my goals. The other students are extremely nice too. We all help each other out and inspire each other to work harder. Some comments said the studio is all about winning, but that's not true. Triple threat is all about helping us reach our full potential. Even though classes are big the teachers give every person their attention. I love triple threat because it feels like more than a studio. It feels like my home, and the staff and students are my family. :) read more
