Out of all the colleges I inquired about Bryant and Stratton was on top of everything within seconds of me filling out the online information survey I had gotten a phone call from an admissions rep. I was thrilled at the dedication of the staff. No other College called me back . I came in very nervous knowing I would need to try and figure out how to juggle school and family life with 4 Kids, not to mention a student loan. The admissions staff helped guided me through the decision of going back to school they helped explain financial aid, courses and what I could do if it became to be too much. It is wonderful that the class sizes in the school are very small. This gives you the ability to get more one-on-one attention from your instructor. At the school you are not just a number your student where staff remember is your name. The resources the school has is also wonderful the entire School strives for every person to get the help they need in order to pass each class and get through the semesters. I definitely made the right choice and could not be happier going to school here. I would recommend this school for anyone who wants a smaller classroom size and a better relationship with all staff. I hope to graduate August 2018 wish me luck!

All I said in my last 2 posts is I was disappointed in the university's speeches for the graduation that we attended a couple weeks ago. I feel politics has no place in a commencement speech. Parents are there to support their kids and watch them graduate. It is not up to the university to push its opinion on the attendees.

DANGEROUS CAMPUS!!!! NO POLICE PRESENCE at basketball game…read moreon 3/1/25!!!! Attended the basketball game with some friends. The place was packed!! Did not see any police maybe 1 officer? Saw what appeared to be security guards, but no police officers....not sure what's up with that? I thought Canisius University had a police department? Says online they have a police department at Canisius University. I saw some people that appeared to be security guards at the game, but there were only a few of them. There were a bunch of fights breaking out at the game and after...... and NO ONE HAD CONTROL of the situation! It was REALLY SCARY!!!! People were fighting, saw a door get ripped off a bathroom!!! NUTS.... I don't understand if people pay so much money to go to school here...where is the police department during a game when there are so many people and anything......LITERALLY ANYTHING could happen???!!! Heard from some friends that attend Canisius University that their entire police department has been leaving because of the Chief of Canisius's Police that got hired. Not sure if that is true or not, but I can tell you there was NO law-enforcement presence at the basketball game from a firsthand experience. I think I literally saw 1 Canisius University police officer. Pretty sad if it is true that Canisius would keep somebody like that leader of their Police Department in that position if that person is causing and driving all of the officers away from the university that are supposed to be protecting it? Makes no sense, right... Not sure who makes the decisions on brining in Police Chiefs, but I can tell you that I would not be paying to go to school there with that many problems if that is what's really going on because rumors are circulating all over the campus about it. Found all the details above out after talking to people at the game that go to the school. Anybody could've walked in there and there could've been a major problem. NO POLICE!!!!! I don't think I'm gonna be going back to anymore games there. The game was great, however I value my life!!!!

I am an alumni of D'Youville College (class of 2016) and I absolutely loved the school. I'm a bit…read moresurprised at reading the negative reviews but everyone's experience will never be the same. Prior to my time at D'Youville, I obtained a B.S. at a local city-funded college (CUNY) in New York City so, my experience compared to that is why I think D'Youville was so great. I attended D'Youville for the dietetics dual-degree program. I will say that initially going there, I had a number of set backs. For one, the fact that I paid my deposit for housing but they never solidified a spot for me. At the last minute, I was forced to find housing off-campus because there were no more dorms or apartments left on campus. Additionally, I was granted work-study but there weren't many jobs left by the time the semester started. I ended up having to take whatever was left which included coming to campus at 7am for a half hour shift then going to class at 9. All-in-all this did not hinder my experience. D'Youville has some of the best programs for health professions - physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, etc. My program was a small department but the staff were amazing. Each faculty member had a wealth of experience to offer to my aspirations. They were tough but it was all for the best. The amenities at the school were amazing when compared with my previous college - 2 computer labs, free printing for students (this was eliminated during my last year), and a wealth of places to study quietly. Moreover, D'Youville's mission focuses on helping the community, which is something dear to my heart. I was given so many opportunities to help within the school and outside, while still gaining academic credit. The price of tuition is definitely expensive however, for everything I gained in the process, it was well-worth it. The school offers a lot of scholarship and jobs on campus, so some of the burden can be lifted from your pockets. Also, you must take into account that this is a private school, there are a lot of things you will see and receive here that may not be available at city and state colleges. I have been back to the school recently and they are moving away from their catholic traditions slowly but surely, and have expanded a lot more; nonetheless the programing, offerings, and staff still remain as great. I continue to share my experience with others in hope that they will attend and have the same great memories that I have. I hope that my children will also be open to attending such a great institution. Highly recommended!
