I asked for an email of the quote, but I never received anything. We received several quotes from other companies that were all in the same ballpark. After the different neighbor agreed, I called John again. John and a different guy came out. Now that we wanted to book the job, the full switch was on. Again, no business cards or ID. Now they wanted literally 2x the original bid. When I pressed on this, the lack of any email, the lack of any ID, the "fence guy" said he would go to his truck and get it. He never came back. John also then slipped away while I was talking to my neighbor. He also left, never to be seen or heard from again. Seems like these guys are very unscrupulous and the story I saw recently of John not having a legal business seems to be true.

I asked for the rose bushes to be trimmed on occasion and to fill in bare spots in the back yard with mulch which he quoted at $30 extra. Fair enough to me. They several times showed up without warning or not enough warning, and a few times went in my backyard without permission. Thankfully, my dogs were not outside at those times. 3. THEY SHOWED UP AT 9:30pm ON A FRIDAY NIGHT WITHOUT WARNING AND WENT INTO MY BACKYARD. Here's the thing - the owner Karen, didn't seem to care or think it was a big deal.
