Mike came to my home today to repair a Kitchen window that was damaged. I had 3M film installed on the window approximately 15 years ago, and as the 3M film is guaranteed, i did not have to pay for the repair. Mike surely deserves more than the 5 stars given in this review as he is a tireless worker, very personable, and knowledgeable about the work he is doing. He did the work is a businesslike manner and cleaned up after the work was completed. He put back the vertical blinds he had to remove to install the film and even took the time to adjust the valance I had on the window before he left. What a great guy! I highly recommend Tropic Tint and Mike McPherson. Having the 3M film on your house windows is a lot better than being shut up in a house like a dungeon during a hurricane if you have shutters, and you do not have the added expense of maintaining shutters. We had Tropic Tint tint all the windows in our two story house. They were reasonably priced and were able to schedule the job at my convenience. Mike McPherson did the job and we were really pleased with the care and professionalism he exhibited. He had to bring a scaffolding in to do second story windows and he demonstrated great care and guided his young helped in assembly and disassembly of the large equipment. We have sliding glass doors that face east and in the morning we couldn't even sit in that room it was so hot. We got quotes from several companies and Tropic Tint explained the different materials that could be used, the price difference and the quality. He even tested our other windows and said they did not need the extra tint. Our installer was excellent. He knew what he was doing, got the job done and explained how to take care of the film. John came out to our home to discuss our tint needs and see what was the best product for our situation - unlike some of the competitors - who just had one shade and/or brand of tint. Mike just finished installing the 3M Night Vision 25 on a very hot and large four panel East facing sliding glass door. This room is an inferno when the sun hit the doors. Mike McPherson came over yesterday, July 27, and did some warranty work on several of the windows that bubbled, wrinkled, or discolored over time. He is a very charming gentlemen who takes pride in his work. He was here for 2 and a half hours and removed all the film on the offending windows and replaced them and now they look like new.
