The rooms ended up being pretty good actually - they were of a decent size, and the beds quite comfortable. I would mentioned that it is also pretty close to facilities, but the thing is that the town is pretty small, so I guess that is a moot point. Anyway, I did rather like this place.

Yeah, I tend to do things like that, particularly in Australia where I can get away with it. Anyway, it turned out that the trip was somewhat worth it because this pub was too bad. Sure, it didn't stand at the heights of excellence, but then again it is a country pub so I shouldn't be too harsh on the place. Also, it is located in a rather small, almost non-existant, seaside town. Yeah, it isn't bad, and the service was pretty good. Sure, it was quiet when I was here, but at least it was open so I didn't waste my trip.

Stayed for 3 nights in Coobowie and loved it. The highlight was the Hotel- such a lovely…read moremanageress and fabulous staff and especially the very modest chef! Their menu puts many Adelaide hotels to shame with such an amazing variety of meals on offer, and all very reasonably priced. Our meals were simply delicious - yummy seafood and that calamari schnitzel was in a class of its own. We have eaten out 3 or 4 times a week for many years so have sampled many meals, here in Oz, and abroad, and we're still in raptures over our meals! As well on offer is a good fresh salad selection and also hot veges -great brussel sprouts! ( Last time we were here was over a weekend and the mushroom, onion and bacon had my husband drooling!)
