I love it when a place I've been vying to go to comes up trumps when I eventually get in there. Troy Cafe is totally unassuming from the outside. Once I got inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the place.
When I had made myself comfortable, I began to peruse the menu. It was an archetypal greasy spoon offering, and that is not meant in a derogatory way at all. The menu was extensive and highly affordable. The Mega breakfast at £5.50 caught my eye. This beast of a plate had sausage, bacon, mushrooms, fried tomato, two eggs, two toast and an option on tea or coffee. The standard of it was excellent. I couldn't of been happier. Aesthetically pleasing, filling, and tasty, Leon was a very happy boy. I also ordered a fresh tasting glass of orange juice. My final bill was £6.60, and the ladies deserved their tip for the no frills, yet effective service, atmosphere and quality.
