They are knowledgeable, answered questions tha really helped with a decision related to kerosene vs oil. After I chose #2 oil with a low cost additive (which they provided as well), the furnace in my newly purchased home ran more efficient and my home stayed warmer longer. The last tenants used kerosen, my furnace switched on and off like a kid playing with a light switch. With #2 oil with additive, the furnace does not do that, in turn, my electric bill will be lower because it needs electricity to turn on. Other oil companies were not knowledgeable with the use of an oil tanks capability for using oil or kerosen, and highly recommended the more expensive kerosen, which they were not providing at the beginning of the season, plus they advised against it. In addition, one of them had stuffy staff when it came to scheduling and new customers, delivering only on certain days of the wee. I did my online search prior to calling any of them. Sinclair was the only company who knew the grade of oil #2, knew and carried the additive and, that the same tank could be used. Plus, friendly and expedient. Sinclair home heating is a rare find. Recently we had a problem where one of our baseboard hot water registers was turning on and off by itself even though the thermostat was off. So we were heating our living room while the AC was on.. Yikes. Well i called Shelly and she had Gary out there the same day and fixed the problem. I happened to be home and Gary took the time to explain and show me exactly what the problem was. My family rented a Uhaul box for a cross country move. The box was delivered on April 23 and picked…read moreup on April 27th. It had a "guaranteed " delivery date of May 12. On Sunday, May 11, I called the local U-Haul office. They assured me that our box was already there and would be deleted to the new house the next day by noon. However, later that evening, I got a text that the truck was delayed. I was unable to speak to anyone until Monday as the Ubox team is not in on Sundays. Monday morning, I began trying to find out what was going on. After speaking to the local office, texting the Uhaul box team, and even calling the carrier, Global Trans, still nobody could tell me where the box was or what was going on. Eventually I got a text that the truck was having mechanical issues, but they still couldn't tell me where the truck was or the extent of the issues Today, Tuesday,I got a text that the truck broke down in Texas! Since it was picked up in Colorado and was headed to Maine, it had to have broken down shortly after leaving Colorado! Yet, we were just made aware of the situation!. I have filed a complaint and am waiting for a supervisor to supposedly call me. I still don't know what's wrong with the truck or how long it will be before it gets here! Meantime, all our belongings except for what came in our luggage are in that box! I can't speak on the phone to anyone in the Ubox team. I can only text or email. I will never use this service again. They have bad days but are always professional. They hire good people. When I need a hitch installed, about 4 in 30 years I wait until I am up in Bangor to have them do it. I live Away now two states south.

This gas station and convenience store are in a very convenient location…read more The hours of operation are not listed on the door, but they are listed in Apple Maps as Sun-Th, 6am - 10pm and Fri-Sat, 6am - 11pm, but the "convenience store" is very rarely open during normal business hours, which is very inconvenient and frustrating. They are closed right now at 6:00 pm, on a Tuesday. It's the closest station and store and they are closed and locked up with lights turned off about 40-50% of the time when I stop by during presumed business hours. The parking lot is often strewn with cigarette butts and pieces of trash. It's painfully obvious that there's no interest in keeping the establishment clean and inviting. They are often out of basic items like bread, eggs, milk, and half&half. Some staff members are very polite and engaging and others couldn't care less about being helpful. It would be terrific if another owner would take over this location or if the current owner would figure out how to keep it clean, stocked and open for business.
