I'm torn on how to rate. The staff was so friendly and welcoming that I want to honor their hard work, but Hilton, you could do better with this location. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. There were carts to help us lug our stuff up to our room. Breakfast was just ok. I had oatmeal as I usually do and it was good. TV was great and lots of movie channels. The place just needs some tender love and care. The linens are looking worn. The shower was never really hot. Tru is probably my least favorite Hilton brand but cudos to the staff for making the stay very nice.

The hotel and rooms are very clean. I love the complimentary body wash, shampoo, and conditioner! Staff super friendly. Great place to stop while on a road trip and need to stop for the night. Only gave 4 stars because the complimentary breakfast just had cheese omelettes and not good 'ole fashioned scrambled eggs. Would stop here again! The patio is fantastic for a morning coffee!

This is our go to spot when we're traveling westward. We like the rooms are new, fresh, well-maintained, and cleaned. We also appreciate the game area in the downstairs. My teenage boys like to play pool. There are life-size tic-tac-toe games, as well as other things to play they also have alcoves where I saw kids hanging out, playing their video games getting some extra space to stretch. Breakfast is included with this hotel. And I love the fact that they have a gluten-free dedicated toaster, they always have individually wrapped Udi bagels, and a full breakfast for everyone.

Cute soap/lotion dispensers in the bathroom. The shower ones are hard to squeeze though.

Convenient location off the freeway. Ample free parking. Room itself was a little small and sterile. Very basic. No carpet or microwave. Dorm room layout. Cute lotion/soap dispenser, but the ones in the shower are really hard to squeeze. Would be almost impossible if you had arthritis or difficulty squeezing things. Made me feel like the old middle age woman I am, not the young chick I think I am ;). Breakfast was nice, but not as good as yesterday at SpringHill Suites (SLC). The ladies working the breakfast station were very hard working and conscientious. Probably didn't hurt that the state health inspector was there. Oatmeal, pancakes, toast, bananas/apples/oranges, juice, eggs/turkey sausage... My fav oatmeal combo is nuts/dried fruit, a package of peanut butter, and sliced bananas on top. This one even had mini chocolate chips and sprinkles :). There's games and a pool table in the lobby. Nice touch. Also like the bulletin board near the elevator with things to do in the area. Paid almost $200 for a standard room midweek. If it was $160 total or less, that would be fair, and I would have increased a star. But, paying close to $200 for a standard room with no carpet in the middle of Nebraska doesn't quite cut it. Guess the Tru model caters to a younger crowd, which apparently I've outgrown!

Great place! Clean quiet, great hot breakfast, walking distance to a nice restaurant and a fabulous little Brewery called Peg Leg Brewery. A perfect break to a long drive! This will be our new stopping place between SD and NM

Hip hotel! Cute and quirky, but you have to know some of the quirks to appreciate them. There are USB ports on all the outlets. Not a ton of desk space in the room--lots of space to work in the lobby. No coffee (or cups) in the room, but coffee and tea are available (with flavor pumps!) in the lobby 24/7. If you want a cup in your room, be sure to grab one by the ice machine in the lobby before you go--right next to the water bottle refill station. The beds are nice, and the pillow selection was top notch. They didn't skimp on the towels either, which was nice. The shower was lovely and had good pressure. Soaps and shampoos are on wall dispensers (I'm allergic to most of these, so it would have been nice to have ingredients listed on the dispenser somewhere). Giant TV. Fridge. No real closet, but there's a place to hang clothes if you need it. There's a pool table in the lobby, and a fire pit! Employee dress is casual--they all wear Tru shirts, like the waitstaff at your favorite local bar. And they're all super nice and helpful! (Granted, the hotel has been open only 5 days as of the writing of this review, so they haven't had time to get jaded yet.) Breakfast is served until 10--no hot options as of yet, but there's a full service waffle station with enough toppings to make a sundae (make yourself a fancy coffee with caramel syrup and whipped cream!), and offerings like Nutella and almond butter. My only other quibble was that there was no guest laundry, and of course, this was the day I desperately needed to do laundry. Murphy's Law, right? That's also coming soon. It will be interesting to see how this branch of Hilton hotels does as time goes on, but so far, two thumbs up!

Wonderful stay on our way through town. The hotel is very new and modern. It was extremely clean. Being covid times I tend to look out for this even more and had no complaints! The front desk staff were wonderful. We requested extra pillows and they came right up with warmed pillowcases. ( maybe a fluke but a wondeful added touch! I didnt see a pool but I didnt ask so if you want a pool maybe check hotel before booking. They Have a nice firepit they kept going all night which was nice to sit and relax by after a long drive. ( It was even going in the AM at breakfast. The room was clean, basic but exactly what we needed. Its on the smaller side but has good use of space by using a luggage rack above the air conditioner unit, under the bed and lots of hanging spots along the walls. Shower was wonderful, they have larger shamp, cond, body wash and lotion desp. in the bathrooms which smelled amazing.. You can use as little or as much as you want. beats the tiney shampoo bottles most hotels give you. We had 2 adults and 2 children in our room and the size was just fine for us! Lastly breakfast in the AM was good.. with lots of options! If your passing through or in the area I would highly recommend this hotel. The pricepoint was great considering how new and clean this hotel is.. if your on the fense.. just go for it. I tend to be a bit pickier with hotels and I dont have 1 complaint!

The only lights near the bed. All on, or all off and too cool.

Once you get into the parking lot, you're under the sign and it's hard to verify that you're at the Best Western rather than at the Comfort Inn or whatever else is in the row of businesses. Kleenex and hand soap hadn't been replenished, so I had to ask for them. Lighting is good for hotels in this area, though if you'll be reading, you might want to bring your own lamp or a brighter bulb. There is a small table with can be moved. This should be mandatory for every hotel. Shampoo is hardly natural, but it doesn't contain the harsh, dermatitis-inducing SLS or SLES you find in most hotel shampoos. The bedspreads are washable. Less chance of cuddling up under someone else's crud. Electric outlets exist right where I need them. The shower head is high--great for taller people, but anyone under 5'5" will have a hard time adjusting the spray pattern on the shower head. Other lodging options: Husker Inn downtown is old and tiny, but amazingly friendly and always affordable. Wanted to also give a shout out to the hotel clerk Angela that checked me in as I really enjoyed talking to her.

We have…read morestayed here before and were pleased to see that the property is undergoing an overdue facelift. Since we make frequent trips to North Platte we welcome the slight inconvenience of ongoing construction for the prospect of a clean, fresh hotel. What we want to mention is the service we received from the front desk team. After a couple days of walking around a coal-fired power plant, beef processing facility, ethanol plants, and cattle feedlots our clothes were pretty dirty. We had a dinner on our last night with local and state leaders so we thought it best to get our clothes washed. The property laundry room is located on the second floor which is where the current construction is taking place. The washer works fine but the dryer was down for the count. We were expected in less than an hour at North 40 Steak House for dinner with the North Platte mayor, two Nebraska senators, and business leaders (including the Fairfield property owner!) from the greater North Platte area. All of our clothes were soaking wet. The manager took our laundry and ran it through the hotel commercial dryers which are high speed and got things sorted in about 20 minutes. Not only were our clothes dried but the staff returned them to us folded and on hangars! We arrived for our dinner on time in freshly laundered clothes that were free of coal dust, cattle manure, beef blood, and corn mash. Day saved. Thank you to Matt, the Fairfield General Manager, for offering an effective solution! PS - We also want to mention Lisa who runs the breakfast. She ensures everyting is fresh and stocked and personally greets everyone dining in her restaurant! Great service needs to be acknowledged!

We got in very late and staff checked to see if there were any upgraded rooms available for us with my status, but sadly there were not. The room, however, was more than fine considering the brief amount of time we actually were going to spend in it before getting on the road again the next morning with the goal of hitting Utah. Everything was clean and really the only issue with the room was that the bathtub drained very slowly and likely needed something to help with a clog further down the line. Breakfast is really where the hotel shined, it's far and away the best "budget" breakfast I've had at a hotel, of any chain or name. The buffet had two lines and each line had different items on offer, including some delicious biscuits and gravy. Then, in addition to that was also grab and go milks and some wonderful warmed cinnamon rolls. If a good breakfast is important to you, then this is the place for you in the North Platte area. Besides being very well done, staff in the dining area was very pleasant and even came around to bus tables for us--another first for me in this hotel price point!

While I was waiting in the lobby, I overheard a conversation that raised serious concerns about the level of professionalism at this property. A front desk clerk informed the manager, Beth, that a gentleman had come in regarding a refund and was driving back over to speak with her. Beth responded, "Well, he can drive over. Just take a message and tell him I'm not here. I don't have time to deal with him." Hearing that exchange gave me immediate reservations about staying at this location. After a very long day of travel, I chose to remain, but it was disappointing to witness a manager speak that way about a guest concern in front of other customers. If a guest has a legitimate issue, they should feel confident that management will handle it professionally and in a timely manner. As someone who travels through this area regularly, I value professionalism, responsiveness, and basic customer service. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not feel confident that any issue during my stay would be handled appropriately. Because of that, I will choose a different location in the future.
