We had business meetings in North Platte and stayed at the Fairfield Inn for three nights. We have stayed here before and were pleased to see that the property is undergoing an overdue facelift. Since we make frequent trips to North Platte we welcome the slight inconvenience of ongoing construction for the prospect of a clean, fresh hotel. What we want to mention is the service we received from the front desk team. After a couple days of walking around a coal-fired power plant, beef processing facility, ethanol plants, and cattle feedlots our clothes were pretty dirty. We had a dinner on our last night with local and state leaders so we thought it best to get our clothes washed. The property laundry room is located on the second floor which is where the current construction is taking place. The washer works fine but the dryer was down for the count. We were expected in less than an hour at North 40 Steak House for dinner with the North Platte mayor, two Nebraska senators, and business leaders (including the Fairfield property owner!) from the greater North Platte area. All of our clothes were soaking wet. The manager took our laundry and ran it through the hotel commercial dryers which are high speed and got things sorted in about 20 minutes. Not only were our clothes dried but the staff returned them to us folded and on hangars! We arrived for our dinner on time in freshly laundered clothes that were free of coal dust, cattle manure, beef blood, and corn mash. Day saved. Thank you to Matt, the Fairfield General Manager, for offering an effective solution! PS - We also want to mention Lisa who runs the breakfast. She ensures everyting is fresh and stocked and personally greets everyone dining in her restaurant! Great service needs to be acknowledged! read more

The Fairfield Inn in North Platte is currently undergoing extensive renovations and definitely needed the facelift. Despite that, my stay was very pleasant. The location right off Interstate 80 is excellent, the breakfast was well worth the add-on, and even though the hotel was full, it was surprisingly quiet. Having the Nebraska State Patrol next door also adds an extra sense of security. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay. read more

We have stayed here before and it has been a good place. The staff is friendly, the room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom had a great shower. The only odd thing was some unidentified ticking noises that we heard after the lights were out. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Breakfast had a lot of selections from make-your-own-waffles, oatmeal with lots of toppings, scrambled eggs, link sausage and fruit. So maybe this is our go to place to stay overnight in North Platte. read more

This venue seems to be THE overnight stopping point for my family members and me over the last 4-5 years. It's an easy 660 miles from our home in Salt Lake City, and on our trip back to NC last month to deliver my son's truck to him at Fort Bragg, this was our first overnight stop. We last stayed here in 2017 on a reverse trip from Atlanta, and my son stayed here in early 2018 (in some real bad weather enroute to Pennsylvania to start a new job.) So our stay here was great (again), and we were pleased to find out that this location even had their complimentary breakfast working in the morning! The staff used tables that were set up and where you placed your order to masked kitchen personnel who got you your order for you. So that was nice that this service was working in Nebraska (as opposed to NOT working later in the week at another Marriott location there in Fayetteville.) The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful and even recommended a walk-to restaurant that my wife and I patronized later than evening (which is the subject of my next Yelp review.) The parking lot was well lit and the room was clean. But the bed was horrible. It is a very soft bed and it made a V when my husband I went to sleep and we were squished together all night. You cannot move apart as it rolls you back together. Neither of us slept much and after a funeral road trip we really needed the rest. The clerk at the counter didn't care about the bed. The room was ok. There were hairs on the shower wall when we got into the room. Obviously not mine. The beds are comfy. If you want to hang out by the pool this is not the place. It's small, could maybe fit ten people and the hot tube was not working. It was just a tub of hot cloudy water. We will not be staying here again. read more

We were in town for a wedding and originally had a room booked at the Ramada. Our room at the Ramada ended up being filthy and had bedbugs which were visible and alive. We frantically searched online and found Fairfield inn. I talked to the manager who was AMAZING AND GAVE US A DEAL ON A ROOM FOR THE NIGHT! The pool and continental breakfast was great. We arrived during the madness building up to the solar eclipse of 2017. I expected the worst, hearing about hotels canceling reservations to get more for their rooms. We were greeted after s long drive by a very pleasant woman who checked us right in, gave recommendations for dinner, gave us a warm cookie and told us their spa was open until 11. Breakfast was available by 7:00. Fresh and hot. I can't imagine how busy they are as this town of 25,000 gets deluged with twice that many people. The service has been exemplary. read more

The hotel's location is very convenient to I-80 and there few good restaurant options nearby. The check-in staff was very friendly and quickly got me on my way. The room was clean and comfortable and the property overall is well-maintained as I would've expected from a Marriott Brand. This place was right off of I-80. We arrived after driving from Boise (955 miles) that day and it was near mid night. The service was friendly and easy. We arrived in our rooms which was clean and in the midst of COVID-19 we felt safe. These were the best beds we've ever slept in at a Fairfield. They must've been brand new. They accommodated us by putting us in a room that hadn't been used the night before. Breakfast the next day was served to us by the staff. The pool and hot tub looked clean read more

Moving across country and need a place to stay for the night. I am extremely loyal to Marriott properties and almost always have an excellent experience. Staff is very friendly. Check in was easy. Bed was comfortable. However, everything else was kind of lacking. Other guests were not wearing masks in lobby and common spaces. Hotel room was very dusty. There are large pumps for shower products, instead of individual mini bottles which isn't ideal for germs. Room needs some updating, especially the bathroom. Stayed at both the TownPlace Suites in Des Moines, IA and Courtyard in Elyria, OH on this trip and would give both 5 stars for comparison. No trailer parking for anyone who might be traveling with one! read more

This Fairfield Inn, off I-80 at Exit 177, is well maintained and a comfortable place to stay. The free breakfast is a step above other hotels in the area. Greek yogurt, decent scrambled eggs and a veggie sausage option when I stayed here. Also, they have soy milk to go with the complementary coffee. It's also within walking distance from a cluster of different restaurants. The beds are comfortable and I like the layout of the rooms and are quiet. On the outside, parking is ample and the spots are generous for those who have large vehicles. Fitness room is a bit cramped but functional. Overall a great place to stay when in the North Platte area. read more

We started out down the road one exit trying to save a couple bucks at the comfort inn. They refused to match the price listed in their own app without me booking it and entering my credit info on my phone. We had the same issue at quality inn so we decided to stop wasting our time and drove to the Fairfield Inn. Their price was a bit higher ($104) but I had no problem getting them to honor their own rate from their app. This is probably the third time we have stayed at this particular Fairfield Inn, so we knew that even though it was a few dollars more it would be a decent experience. We asked for a quiet room and were given room 229 which she said was further from the expressway. It was a king room that had handicapped features. I sort of wish she had told us first because the handicapped bathrooms can be odd with less counter space, but it really was not a big deal. The bed in this room was super comfy. I laid down for a second and almost did not want to get up to go out and eat. There is a Perkins right in front of the hotel, and since we were beat we went there, and omg we had a delicious pot roast dinner at a discount for being over 55. We had a comfortable nights sleep, the wifi worked great, TV was fine, and again the bed was super comfy. We stayed at a lot of places on this trip and this was one of the most comfortable beds. In the morning we got up early and had breakfast before leaving. The coffee was good and they had little omelets and sausage patties plus regular eggs and a few other things. Fresh fruit was also available. All in all it was a good breakfast and a good stay. read more

This place seems fairly new and is right off I-80, next to a state police station, and across the street from Fort Cody, a kitschy quasi-museum and Western trinket tourist trap. Clean room, better than average complimentary breakfast, a working PC and printer in the business center, friendly breakfast hostess, and always hot coffee in the lobby. read more

I am rarely disappointed staying at a Marriott property. The desk staff was polite, the hot breakfast was good. Keep in mind being a frequent traveler my concerns may be considered nitpicking. The room furniture had a lot of dust. Stayed over an extra night to relax and watch NFL football. I discovered the satellite feeds the local NYC network stations. Therefore I was forced to watch both crappy NY NFL teams play. Very disappointing. There were some good national games of the week I couldn't see. One more reason not to live in NYC. I reported this to the front desk asking why the local Omaha stations aren't carried. She was very polite, but as expected, didn't know. read more

For a hotel next to high way: pretty solid. Beds were good and clean and so was the bathroom. Overall clean and tidy. One note: 2 out of our 4 shower towels had dirty marks on them as if not washed well or not washed at all. read more

Hope, the front desk lady, is wonderful! We had a reservation elsewhere in North Platte that was a pig sty *cough* America's Best Value Inn *cough*, so we tried Howard Johnson (gross) and Quality Inn across the street (morbidly gross), before coming here. She showed us 2 rooms before we had to pay so that we would be sure to be comfortable in the one we picked. The room was clean, quiet, and she gave us a bit of a discount on the room which was not necessary but much appreciated. We woke up to a Starbucks giftcard with a note from Hope wishing us well! Her customer service was impeccable and we weary cross-country travelers are so grateful we found this hotel. Thank you, Fairfield, for giving us hope!! read more

Well worth the price paid as senior citizen. Room and beds great. Firm pillow. Bathroom counter ample, great shower. Room a little small for king size bed. Quite first floor. Breakfast had proper variety of food, but the food waitress(?) was sad, sad. She could not, would not keep the food plentiful. The sausages were good tasting, but she scrimped on everything. Guests had to ask multiple times for more sausage eggs, and even bread, all which was given grudgingly. We told the manager to get her replaced, as he was losing customers! Maybe she was a substitute, but hopefully she will be missing for the next guests. read more

When staying at a hotel, you should have a reasonable expectation of privacy. In my experience, this hotel does not honor that expectation. A manager took at least two UNAUTHORIZED AND CLOSE-UP pictures of an OCCUPIED room from the outside and then claimed the room was ours as part of a dispute about a pet being inside. Stop and think about that for a moment. What if this were you and he caught you undressed in the background? Who knows what he'd do with that picture? This was not a criminal or emergency situation, so they have no business taking pictures of YOUR occupied room without your permission. It was quite obvious to me the manager didn't care about any of that. It was creepy and I've never seen this appalling disregard of a guest's privacy from a Marriott hotel in my 20+ years of staying at their properties. The General Manager wouldn't even apologize when I brought this her attention- she just fell back to arguing about whether a pet was in my room and how they had to sanitize it, etc.- the exact words from her email were "To say the pictures were taken without consent is the least of this matter." WOW..... As someone who takes personal privacy very seriously, it's very disappointing to see a hotel show such a brazen disregard for it. read more

We had a very nice stay here. The hotel was clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was very small, as was the pool. The pool was fairly warm, though, and my son and I had a great time in it. The breakfast bar was pretty good. I always appreciate when they have a selection of some hot items, which they did. It is a bit pricy for just off the interstate in Nebraska, so we would likely try some other options to see if there are others that are more affordable before coming back, but we had good experience yet. read more

I'm usually a fan of the Marriott chain hotels but I was a bit disappointed with their room. It was quite small, a bit claustrophobic. I would rather the restroom be a bit smaller than have the living space so tight. No sofa to lounge on, just an arm chair. Had a good night sleep though and comp. breakfast was OK. read more

We came here after our room at the neighboring Quality Inn proved unsuitable. The front desk clerk was very nice and let me look at the room so I could decide whether or not to book. The property is only two years old, so the rooms fairly new. I was here for four nights while my husband was busy with a convention. The room was well designed and comfortable, the pool was small, but nice. The fitness room was great- each of the treadmills had their own personal tv. The breakfast area was clean, and the breakfast attendants were helpful. There was a nice variety of cereal, fresh fruit, juice, and hot items. The only problem with the room was the door latch. The door would not lock on its own, and I came back to the room twice after housekeeping had been in and found the room unlocked. The room was way overpriced ($189 a night), but they have a captive audience. All the hotels in town were similarly over priced, and space in town was limited due to a convention and a softball tournament. read more

This hotel staff is great! The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. It's newer and the breakfast is excellent it's got waffle's, hot food, cereals, fresh fruit and yogurt.
