One year. It's…read morealmost been one year since I started to experience excruciating hand pain- pain that would stop me from drawing, from driving, from doing the things I love. Pain that would make it hurt to brush my hair in the morning and my teeth at night. Pain that left me desperately seeking help. I saw orthopedists and nurses. Rheumatologists and PTs. I sat in doctor after doctor's office, explaining my pain to people that didn't care. Out of all these quacks, Dani was the only genuine professional out of the bunch. I knew nothing about acupuncture- this was not a problem. Dani patiently explained each step of the process, regularly checking in with me to make sure I was okay. He wanted to hear about my problems. He wanted to offer advice. But most importantly, he wanted to help me find a resolution- and that kind of sincerity is something you will not find from other doctors. You can go to these big, fancy offices and wait 3 months to see a doctor that will give you all of 2 minutes. Or you could just go to Healing Your Way where Danny will listen to you, comfort you, and genuinely try to help you. I've lost a lot of faith in the medical world- but Danny reminded me that there are still good people out there if you're willing to look.

So the people are nice - genuinely nice, and that's about where the praise stops…read more My wife had purchased a couples massage package for us, as we like to try different places when deals come up. This was one of those "Oh...so THATS why they have a deal" places. They greet you with tea, which is nice, but the location overall is basically impossible to find. There is a very small sign that gives you a general idea of where it probably is, but this is also in the middle of a super busy Bustleton Ave. Now, the massages. The paperwork they have you fill out is funny, but kind of a red flag that they aren't super professional - one of the things they ask you to initial actually says "You agree to and understand that this massage session is completely non-sexual" - if you need to put that on a form...there's a problem. So we are led into a room to get changed - and to basically put our things on the floor. The tables are comfortable enough, but most of the covering is papertowel. The two men that provided the actual massages were clearly not trained. They meant well, were very nice guys, but had no idea what they were doing. I am not exaggerating when I say that my "masseuse" spent 15+ minutes on my rear end, and nothing else. At first I thought "Ok, maybe working out the sciatic nerve?" And then no, he's just rubbing my rear end. I had clearly written on the form "upper back, shoulders" - worked on once. The guy who was "massaging" my wife, was dressed like he just came home from a labor job. Again, very nice person, however when you are going to get a massage - old-faded t-shirt and work pants just don't scream "professional" or "holistic" like this place claims to be. Overall I can't recommend even giving this a try - saying to yourself "well maybe this guy just had a bad experience" - the people that work there are not trained, do not dress as if they are there to provide a service, and they have this really odd need to tell you 4 or 5 times "do not worry, you will be covered the whole time, but keep on your underwear, this is professional, you'll be covered up" - I get it, you give massages. So thumbs up on being nice guys, and a nice space once you find it - but I'm a nice guy, and that doesn't qualify me to be something im not trained for. Skip this one.

We went into a room decorated like a medieval castle. We had hooks onto which we could hang our clothes. The massage therapists came in and began our Swedish massage. Very good massge! I'm a deep tissue massage guy, but this worked all the knots out. We the got into our robes, which I found a bit small. Off to the wrap room! Mike came in and applied volcanic ash and wrapped us up like a couple of burritos. About 30 minutes later, we were done. Off into the shower we went. Kind of small for two people. Then a bit of hemp oil to smooth out the akin and off we went. The place was clean, the people friendly and good at their jobs. I'd probably go back despite the traffic. Go visit and enjoy yourself!

We all suffer from the various stressors of our modern world: work, family, political and societal issues, not to mention a global pandemic. These cause a multitude of other issues within our bodies. Lack of focus, anxiety, sleep disorders, high blood pressure, to name just a few. I felt that what we all needed, myself included, was a way to ease that stress, to heal our bodies and our minds. This belief led me to explore different holistic healing modalities. I've been practicing meditation for over 40 years and have taught in both individual and group settings to all age groups from pre-school to senior citizens. Adding Chakra balancing and the healing energy of Reiki to my practice has enhanced my personal sense of peace and wellbeing tremendously. My mission through my practice is to help others find healing and peace through the many benefits of Reiki and Meditation.
