I have recently become a certified Red Cross volunteer as Disaster Action Team in Central Florida…read more When one thinks about the Red Cross, usually mass disasters, such as hurricanes or earthquakes come to mind; however the Red Cross does FAR more than that for the community. The Red Cross responds to local disasters on a daily basis, such as house fires, which occur many times a day in Greater Central Florida. Teams respond with compassion, care, and assistance for those impacted by a disaster. Working with multiple agencies, the Red Cross makes sure that victims of disaster are set up with immediate care for temporary housing, food, counseling and so much more. This local chapter in Orlando has an amazing team in place, balancing logistics, client care, volunteers and also offers a plethora of courses to the community in a variety of fields, such as certification for CPR/First Aid and more. The road to becoming a certified volunteer is rigorous and there are many courses to complete, but so very worth the time invested. This local chapter is so well managed and truly worthy of a 5 star rating. If you find yourself in need of assistance, please reach out to the Red Cross. If you are looking for a great place to volunteer, the Red Cross will help you find a good 'fit' for what you are looking to do. Hands on disaster response was my choice, but there are a great many areas that are needed to support the operation in administration areas, hospitality areas and more. Please contact the Red Cross now if you wish to become a volunteer and you will be trained and ready when the need arises for activation of volunteers.

Multiple issues. Owner Sam Stewart and her "Assistant" Alicia are extremely rude. No compassion for…read moreindividuals who travel 150+ miles, 2.5-3 hours one way. They will criticize your training, credentialing, licensing, and previous certifications if you find yourself unable to provide the answers they want. Owner claims that initial testing was completed by "someone else". Claims students west time if they don't seem to answer the question. Product mouth pieces are not prepackaged prior to use; however, claims they are "one time use". Scenarios are unorganized and random, not a fluid instruction. Further more instead of remediation and taking pride in education medical professionals basics and expert skills of life support, you are told to leave take the course again and to come back when "you actually know something". No refunds were given for their poor scheduling and registration options on website. They claim to be "Stress Free" however their demeanor lack of respect and professionalism does not entice a conducive work environment. Formal complaints have been submitted to AHA as well as to the state level for investigation of their practice. Better Business Bureau also notified regarding their practices. Florida and county Medical Director notified and contacted the company at which they continued to talk negatively about the experience as well as cause a verbal altercation with Medical Director who will proceed with his own complaints. Previous litigation has been made regarding refusal/denial of "participation" card to an individual. The courses are no longer considered certification due to similar experiences with medical professionals in the past. AHA thrives on positive results as well as the safe practice, critical thinking, and clinical judgement of medical professionals all of which All Care Health Services (AllCareCPR) do not provide due to their ruthless unprofessional ethical and moral practices. Look into practicalacls with Jeff Knowles. He is the best in the state.
