My mom advised me that if I feel uneasy when I walk through the door, turn around. Well I didn't heed her advice and I could kick myself, mostly because it was a waste of time and money when I was in a lot of pain. There is no other personnel, receptionist, anything; just Dr. Harris. This is fine, but at least put that saved money into a renovation so it doesn't look like a makeshift practice. On to the more important qualms . . . . I don't think he had any intention of providing the best advice and care for my issue at hand, but rather he wanted to rope me into a ridiculously expensive chiropractic "plan" (~$800/month). His attempt at improving my range of motion consisted of pushing gently on my heels and touching his index finger to my forehead . . . the stupidest thing I ever experienced. While I do feel there are chiropractors that are able to legitimize their tests and techniques, I felt a lot of what Dr. Harris was trying to sell me on was pure pseudoscience. I found out later that the digital neural scan he performed was downright farcical and has zero legitimacy in the field of medical care. My husband and I both started seeing Dr. Harris in March of this year. Myself for pregnancy pains (17 wks pregnant) and my husband for an array of pains. Dr. Harris SAVED my body during my pregnancy. When I went to see him for the first time I was limping - by my second appointment I was pain free. I continued to see him weekly until I gave birth and went back a few times postpartum to make sure I was still aligned. My husband also saw him weekly and felt relief from his pain every time. I was also experiencing horrible nipple pains while breastfeeding. I told Dr. Harris about this and again, two appointments later, the pain was gone completely. I was desperate when I came to Dr. Harris. I had been suffering from headaches that abruptly started a little over a year prior to finding Dr. Harris, but really my symptoms had been going on for about three years, just hadn't progressed into pain yet. I'd seen several doctors to try to figure out what was causing these headaches only to settle on a migraine diagnosis even though I wasn't having typical migraines. My life was deteriorating to bed rest, narcotics, and a very strict plant-based diet.
