I was prepared to hire Highland Electric for the job, but while listening to the radio, I heard a commercial from another company, offering a free trip charge and discount for seniors and veterans, of which I am both. I phoned and described the job, then sent a photograph of the fixture. I was told that the trip charge would be waived and the charge would be $100 an hour, one hour minimum, but that from the photo it looked like a 15 minute job. A week after the phone call, a technician performed the service which did take 15 to 20 minutes. TL charge was $100.
