He finally showed up at 3:00 for a 4:00 wedding, Chilled items were delivered at 10:00 am which the caterer knew had to be put on ice which he was responsible for and were at room temperature by the time he got there. To add insult to injury he charged us a last minute charge of $600 which was basically for ice and a few sliced lemons and limes. Moving on to the food. The food he served was nothing like what we tasted at his kitchen when we hired him. The beef tenderloin was described by one person as beef jerky. I wouldn't go that far but it was certainly not the tender moist pink beef tenderloin we had enjoyed. But some people never tasted it. He ran out of appetizers and food way before everyone was served. I'm not talking seconds. I'm talking their 1st courses. Frankly they didn't miss anything because again unlike our previous experience all the food was tasteless and bland. To compound his poor catering service even more, he then left the wedding. That's right left way early in the evening. Got in his vehicle and took off just after his horrible food serving. We immeditely called him on his cell phone and told him to get his a** back with some food to feed those who were still unfed. He begrudgedly came back with Dominos pizza which he sat on a table in the rain. Absolutely worthless and yet we paid top dollar for Domino's Pizza as his way to feed our hungry unfed guest. Total absolute disaster. Look elsewhere even though he has a great reputation around town. Why take the chance. He apparently has grown too big to handle his catering the way he once did. I did email him with specific questions regarding his poor service to give him the opportunity to respond before I posted our experience. I also spoke to his personal friends, who I know told him my feelings and I ran into his staff at another event after ours and expressed my total displeasure with his catering to share with him. He has not responded to me at all in the 3 weeks that have passed.

When planning a large party (60 guests) at my house, I reached out to 5 or 6 local caterers. Quickly Emiy Fultz at Jarfi's overdelivered on the service side of things. She was amazing to work with as she was super responsive and knowledgable about the Jarfi's menu and what would fit for my particular event. The day of my party Nadia and Gary arrived right on time to deliver and setup my food. They were wonderful and were able to help me create a beautiful display while still telling me more about the food I'd be serving. My guests absolutely raved about everything. Absolutely raved! The Jarfi's hummus, Jarfi's chips, shaved ham on foccacia, and imported cheese board were especially big hits, but it was all wonderful. I thought the pricing was fair when considering the service I received as well as the quality and quantity of food. I will definitely be a repeat Jarfi's client.

My hubby had a very strong bourbon and water and I had a cream, liquor, vodka drink that was very tasty, similar to a White Russian. At around 6 pm chef Todd began by telling us his history and passion for cooking inspired by his grandmothers as he prepared our appetizers. I am a bit fuzzy on the details of the ingredients of all the dishes since I fell later that evening, broke my hip and shoulder and spent the next 6 days in the hospital but I'll do my best, keeping in mind all 4 courses were expectional. Appetizer was a baked pear with goat cheese and a crostini with cranberry goat cheese, walnuts and honey drizzle. Second course was a bean soup and corn bread. Main course was pot roast, carrots, potatoes and mushrooms. Mine was super tender and very flavorful. Mu husbands portion had a lot of fat but what he could eat was tasty. And for dessert he served bananas foster bread pudding. We were given a sample of the bread pudding upon arrival to whet our appetites and it sure did. The whole experience was first class; food, service, cocktails, interaction with the chef, owner and wait staff, atmosphere was just plain fun, entertaining and satisfying. We were there about 2 hours. Street parking, comfortable setting and a unique dinning experience. I highly recommend for a special occasion.
