I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis/sciatica with severe pain in one leg when walking and often…read morewhen trying to sleep. Options were to try physical therapy, one or two epidural injections in my spine or surgery. Physical therapy didn't help enough. I was afraid to try the epidural as a friend told me when she had one she almost levitated off the table from the pain. I did a lot of research and came up with a number of doctors for chronic pain in the Maryland/DC area who were recommended by other doctors or friends. One name kept on being mentioned: Dr. Aneesh Singla. In trying to decide which doctor to go to, I called offices and asked to speak to the doctors. Some doctors rushed through my questions and concerns or never even answered them and some never called me back. Then my physical therapist told me he took his mother to see Dr. Singla for an epidural. He described how caring and kind Dr. Singla was with his mother and how he used the most up-to-date techniques to make sure the procedure was done in the most pain free way possible. That clinched it for me. Before making an appointment I spoke to Dr. Singla on the phone to discuss my questions. He spent all the time needed to answer my questions, explain how he does the procedure and reassure me. Our conversation reinforced all the positive comments that the physical therapist had said about him. When I arrived I was greeted warmly by the receptionist. The office was busy but every staff member took the time to treat me kindly and with respect. I cant say the procedure was completely without pain, but by numbing the area where the epidural would be inserted, the shot itself wasn't painful at all. Toward the end, I was obviously uncomfortable with the medicine being injected. Dr. Singla told me it would be over in 3 seconds, and he counted the 3 seconds aloud which REALLY helped. The next day Dr. Singla called to see how I was doing and told me what I could expect to happen next in terms of noticing improvement. I can't fully describe how fortunate I feel to have chosen him to be the doctor to do this procedure. If you need help for chronic pain, I would immediately call Dr. Singla's office and make an appointment. He is knowledgeable, professional and truly cares about his patients.

DON'T do any treatments or surgeries before consulting with Dr. Singla! I battled back problems for…read more20 years when I finally gave in and decided surgery was my only option left. I was barely walking. I consulted with 4 surgeons. The first was ready to operate with no confidence I'd be any better. The 3 others all insisted I was not a candidate for surgery and told me I'd have to live with the pain. Needless to say I was disappointed and depressed. Fortunately one of the surgeons requested a additional test from a specialist named Dr. Singla. With feedback from all 4 surgeons I nearly canceled the appointment with Dr. Singla. The test was simply to pin point where the majority of my pain was coming from. I was convinced not to proceed with surgery, but went to my appointment with Dr. Singla anyway. To this day I'm not sure why I went, but at the end of the procedure Dr. Singla simply said to me, I think I have a non-surgical solution that may help you. I tried to tell him that I've done the steroid shots, and even had platelets treatments, and they all wear off in a week or two. He explained this was a different procedure. One no one else had mentioned to me before. I figured, what did I have to loose? Soon I wouldn't be walking at all. That was 4 years ago. I see Dr. Singla for continued treatment about every 6 months. I know not everyone has the same results, but I've been 100% pain free for most of the 4 years he's been treating me. Of the times I haven't be perfectly pain free, the pain is very minimal and manageable. I often recall how limited I was 4 years ago. Now I play ball with my kids, get the yard work done, and even exercise. I have a life thanks to Dr. Singla. I've also found that everyone I've met with back pains or problems also haven't heard of the options Dr. Singla has to offer. None of the doctors I saw suggested such treatments, none of the countless friends, family, and total strangers had ever heard of these alternative options. The bottom line - I highly recommend you consult with Dr. Singla before you decide on any procedure and especially before trying surgery!

First, the reservation process and finding the spot were both frustrating. The person on the phone spoke in a whisper and couldn't/wouldn't speak up when asked. The "near the courthouse" was completely unhelpful, since there are FOUR courthouses in Town Center (Red Brick, Grey, District, and Circuit). The room was fine, and thankfully, the bed was toasty warm on a rainy, chilly day. Zoe wore both a mask (fine) and gloves (less fine for me). She spoke softly and with an accent that made communication impossible. She didn't tell me what she was doing to my face or what type of products she was using. The 45 minute facial was less than that, despite paying $20 more for that location. And, unlike the outlet further south, there was no relaxing tea and biscuits following the facial. Sadly, I won't be back, even though it's more convenient.

The massage tables are warm and the masseuses are considerate in asking if you're comfortable during the massage. At the end of the massage, they provide you with water or tea, and a small packet of cookies to help you replenish.
