They answered my email by saying my chair was not worth recovering: "Thank you for reaching out to us. While we do reupholster certain chairs, we'd have to sub-contract the wood refinishing to a wood specialist. I'm afraid that unless this chair has sentimental value, it's probably not a project you want to pay a shop for as it would become too expensive. My best guess without measurements and calculations is that you could probably find a good replacement for less. This would be a great DIY project for someone, though, and we could sell you tools and supplies to complete it." So, she thinks my furniture is not good enough. She thinks a I can't afford to have the work done. She thinks I should do it myself. Most of all, she doesn't give me an effing estimate. I'm not looking to replace it. I am looking to buy additional chairs and I'm looking in the $1000-2000 range. I can't believe the stupidity and condescension.
