Just very recently, she pulled me further into my self love and spirituality by introducing me to Reiki, Ayurveda, and Yoga. Where ever her life takes her I tend to yearn more for her knowledge and experiences. If anyone is searching for a lifestyle that produces Happiness, self-love, growth, or fitness and health of the mind and spirit, Rocky Mountain Wellness Center will provide one with the accurate tools to spark this lifestyle within. Whether we are students (such as myself) or patients, Reiki, at least in my experience ignited a lost passion and love for life that quickly filled voids and , in my case, brought me closer in my faith. Reiki is universal, it is not imposing, it is Respectful, and it is powerful. What does this mean? It means that regardless of your faith, Reiki does not impose, it simply heals. I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Reiki Wellness Center for all sorts of ailments.

Traditional Japanese Reiki, is a very non-invasive method of healing, in which the recipient lies fully clothed on a treatment table, while the practitioner gently places their hands on, or above specific energy meridians in the body, thereby activating the body's own, innate and inherent healing abilities. Maria is also a Certified Victim's Advocate and Lay-minister counsellor. She has found Reiki very effective, in treating victim's of abuse, as well as Post- Traumatic Stress related issues. A Note From Maria Reiki healing has been a great source of blessing in my personal life. I have experienced the healing of serious, debilitating illness, as well as the devastating effects of Domestic Abuse. Sharing this healing with as many people that I can is my passion.

After moving to Denver I was hopeful that I would be able to connect with a center and I was delighted to find that there is a thriving community here. I was able to quickly locate the available classes, purchase both individual classes, and now a membership. This weekend was an online retreat and I found it easy to attend and follow along. The sound and video were fantastic and the classes started and ended on time, which I greatly appreciate. Now that I've signed up for a monthly membership, I'm looking forward to taking a stroll around the lake to class as weather and pandemic restrictions allow.

It was a great experience. Now I visit when I can. Their downtown space is very cool and peaceful inside, and people are very welcoming. You don't need to bring anything. They have cushions and comfy chairs. I bring a notebook; Kadam Lucy always has something I want to remember. PARKING: People complain about parking downtown, but it's not so bad. There are two parking lots basically next door, so it's not hard to find. The one on Glenarm is $5 for the day except when there's something big going on downtown, and then it's $20. When it's $20, I go to the parking lot behind it (other side of the alley). It'll be $10. But street parking works too. The teachers are aware to keep the class short enough for the meter :-). And Sundays are free parking.

I cycle quite a bit (road and MTB) and started getting significant back and neck pain near the end of the 2018 season. I went to my doctor, did stretches from YouTube, and took pain meds. Nothing really addressed my pain in a significant way. I heard from other cyclists that yoga had helped them with similar issues, and despite it being well outside my comfort zone, decided to try yoga after meeting Allie at a networking event. I signed up for a few sessions, and if I'm honest, wasn't expecting all that much to come of it. It turned out to be a great decision. In short, I've got almost no back pain after working with Allie for several months. I have much improved flexibility in my hips and legs and can sit in the saddle for 4-5 hours without feeling hobbled by the end of the day. I'm riding more smoothly and with better core strength than ever before. For context, I do quite a bit of core work on my own, usually 3-4 days a week. Yoga pushed in different ways than anything I have done on my own at the gym. Allie also walked me through a bunch of different stretches, all of which have been beneficial. A surprising side benefit is that I can also breathe better than before, including when riding. I'm getting more air into my lungs with each breath using techniques from sessions with Allie. Allie is prompt, communicates well, and is a pleasure to work with. She listens well, provides useful feedback, and will help make yoga approachable to a newbie like me. Allie is incredibly knowledgeable and insightful, and has a breadth of experience in Yoga that far surpasses my experience level. She can help people new to yoga like myself, or more advanced folks as well. Overall, I'm so, so glad I went outside my comfort zone to try yoga. It's helped me with my sport, helped me sleep better, and given me a wealth of knowledge about how my body works and doesn't work that I didn't know beforehand. I plan to continue this journey and have signed up for another pack of lessons with Allie. If you're looking for a yoga teacher, you couldn't do better than Allie.

Allie works with your body and any injuries or restrictions and really feels where you are each session, sometimes we pushed harder physically, other times we backed off an do more mindfulness and energy work. The only area where she could *actually* swim had a giant fan blowing down from the ceiling...we were both shivering within 10 minutes. The pool area looks massive, but the actual space for a kid to swim is tiny. SO much wasted space. The playground are is great for toddlers, but beyond that it's a huge disappointment. Why is there a huge fan blowing down onto the pool on a cold, rainy day?? The pool water temps were miserably cold which means the hot tubs were overrun with people who were camped out in them. We couldn't even dip a toe in the hot tub because they were 'full'. There were also crowds of completely unsupervised kids everywhere we turned. The whole 'adult supervision for kids under 10' is an absolute JOKE. After being pushed, kicked, shoved, jumped on for 30 minutes, we cut our losses and left. Will absolutely not be back.
